Meet Ace. This sweet boy is a 2 year old Weimaraner Mix. Ace’s family was no longer able to care for him, so he is hanging out with one of our fosters looking for his new home. Ace is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, house broken and crate trained. Ace is good with other dogs and loves snuggles. Please consider giving an Ace his new forever home.

Maple still needs a foster home in the NW Arkansas area. Her trainer wants to continue working with her and with her future foster/forever home.

Meet Maple. 💔 She deserves to know what it feels like to finally belong.

Maple has already been let down by the people who were supposed to care for her. Her original family left her crated for long hours, and she missed out on the socialization and experiences that help a young dog feel safe in the world. Someone later rescued her but wasn’t in a position to keep her, so AWR stepped in to give her another chance.

Right now, the world can still be a scary place for Maple. She’s boarding at a training facility, where she has grown to love her trainer. New people make her nervous, but give her a little time and patience, and she shows you the loving dog underneath that uncertainty. She just needs someone willing to let her learn that not everyone will let her down.

We aren’t sure what breeds make up this beautiful girl. She could have some hound, Pointer, Weimaraner, or Lab in her, so we’ve sent off a DNA test to learn more!

Maple is fully vetted, housebroken, and crate trained. We believe she would do best in a quiet home without children or other pets, with someone who understands that trust takes time. In return, you’ll have the chance to become the person she finally feels safe with.

Her trainer has even offered to help her adopter through the transition, so Maple won’t have to navigate this next chapter alone.

Maple doesn’t need someone to fix her. She needs someone to give her the time, patience, and love she should have had all along.

If you have been following the rescue of 30 Weimaraners from a hoarder in Ohio, AWR has taken 3 of them. Pancake, 8 month old female, River 1 1/2 year old male and Bonnie 1 1/2 year old female. These precious babies are not ready to be adopted, they are traumatized by what they have been through. They will be finished up with their vetting this week. What we do need is foster homes, that will be the very best thing for them at this time. They need time to decompress and trust the world. If you can’t foster, we would appreciate donations, if you can help

Sadly, AWR lost an alumni a couple of days ago. Abby was adopted in 2017 and was around 12 years old. RIP sweet Abby, we know your family loved you dearly💔

❤️ Pancake, Bonnie & River need YOU! ❤️

These three Weims are being rescued from an Ohio hoarding case, where dozens of dogs lived in one room. Arkansas Weim Rescue is bringing them into our care, and we need help to give them a fresh start.

🐾 Pancake: 8-month-old blue girl
🐾 Bonnie: 2-3 year old gray girl
🐾 River: 1-2 year old blue boy who needs skin care and is missing half an ear

All three are good with other dogs!
