🌲 Happy National Wilderness Day! 🌲

At Fayette Veterinary Hospital, our love for animals goes beyond the pets we care for every day. 🐾♥️

Wildlife depends on healthy, protected habitats to survive and thrive. 🐇🦔🐿️

Today is a reminder to respect wildlife, protect the places they call home, and help keep our wild spaces wild as we celebrate the beautiful wildlife around us. 🦌🦊🐻

We all love the holiday festivities, but let's be real:
for our four-legged friends, the 4th can be pretty spooky.

🎇 Quick Tips for a Stress-Free 4th:
Beyond the noise, here are a few ways to keep the festivities safe and happy:

• Skip the BBQ Table: Keep the human food away from curious pets. Things like onions, garlic, chocolate, grapes, and those greasy burger scraps can be toxic or cause some major tummy trouble. 🍔🚫

• Check Those Tags: Ensure your pet’s microchip info is updated and their collar has a current ID tag. It’s the busiest time of year for local shelters because pets get spooked and bolt—let’s make sure they get home fast if they wander off!

• The "Safe Zone": Create a quiet, comfy spot inside for them with some calming music or white noise. Sometimes the best seat for the fireworks is far away from the window.

• Skip the Party: If your dog is anxious, they’ll have a much better night at home than at a loud party or parade.

If your pup gets stressed out by fireworks, we’ve got your back. We’ve got plenty of Sileo on hand, the go-to solution for noise-sensitive dogs, but you’ve only got a few more days to grab it. Be sure to secure yours before the holiday rush!

Let’s keep the holiday fun and safe for everyone. If you have any questions or need to pick up Sileo, give the clinic a call—we’re here to help!

These two wonderful, beloved dogs are looking for new loving forever homes due to unforeseen circumstances. This decision is not a reflection of the dogs or their owner’s care and commitment.

Bear is a handsome 4-year-old German Shepherd who has spent his entire life in a loving home. He is well cared for and enjoys his monthly grooming appointments, where he does great with the groomers.
Bear has a sweet and friendly personality. He does well with children and has gotten along great with the other dogs he has been around. He is a loyal companion who loves being part of a family.
One very important thing about Bear is his special bond with his brother and littermate. They are extremely attached to one another and have been together their whole lives. Because of this, Bear is looking for a new home that can welcome both him and his brother so they can continue to thrive side by side.
If you're looking to add two loving, devoted companions to your family, Bear and his brother would love to meet you! 🐾

Ace is a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd who has been raised in a loving home since he was a puppy. He is well-mannered, affectionate, and enjoys his monthly grooming appointments, where he does an excellent job with the groomers.
Ace is great with children and has done well with the other dogs he has been around. He loves being part of a family and is a loyal, devoted companion who enjoys spending time with his people.
Ace shares an incredibly strong bond with his brother and littermate, Bear. They have been together their entire lives and are very attached to one another. Because of this special connection, Ace is looking for a home that can welcome both brothers so they can stay together and continue to thrive.
If you're searching for two loving, loyal German Shepherds to add to your family, Ace and Bear could be the perfect pair. They are ready to bring companionship, love, and devotion to their forever home. 🐾

Don’t wait until the fireworks start! 🧨

The 4th of July will be here before we know it, and we want to help you prepare for a calm, comfortable holiday.

If your pup suffers from noise aversion, now is the time to get ready. Give our office a call, email, or text to discuss if Sileo is right for your pet. Let’s make sure you have the tools you need on hand before the first firework goes off! 🎇

🐾😎 It’s hip to chip! 😎🐾

As summertime adventures pick up, it’s the perfect time to make sure your pet is microchipped! ☀️

With more outdoor activities, vacations, fireworks, open doors, and busy gatherings, pets are much more likely to become lost during the summer months. A microchip provides a permanent form of identification that can help reunite you with your pet quickly if they ever wander off or become separated from you.

Unlike collars and tags, microchips can’t fall off or be removed. The chip is about the size of a grain of rice, placed safely under the skin, and can be scanned by veterinary clinics, shelters, and animal control to access your contact information.

A microchip greatly increases the chances of a lost pet making it back home safely — especially during a season full of travel, storms, fireworks, and outdoor fun.

Before heading into summer, make sure:
• Your pet’s microchip is registered
• Your contact information is up to date
• Your pet is wearing a collar with current tags

One tiny chip can make a life-changing difference. ❤️
