We are beyond grateful to partner with Humane Society of the Ozarks and their Compassion Voucher Program. We believe every animal deserves dignity, care, and love during their final moments and we also believe every pet parent deserves support, compassion, and empathy during a time when grief is unmeasurable. ❤️

We are so grateful for the wonderful organizations in our area like Humane Society of the Ozarks and Big Paws. Thank you for all you do and for all the wonderful care you provide.

A Gentle Goodbye for a Beloved 18-Year-Old Dog

Sometimes, helping animals means helping them through the very last chapter of their lives.

Recently, HSO was contacted by a pet owner whose beloved dog had reached 18 years old and was nearing the end of her life. She knew it was time to let her girl go peacefully, but getting her to the veterinary hospital was a challenge.

We knew we needed to help.

Through our Compassionate Farewell Program, we were able to provide financial assistance for her end-of-life care at Best Friends Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel. And thanks to our friends at Big Paws of The Ozarks, we were also able to help arrange an Uber ride so she could be there with her dog when it was time to say goodbye.

Because saying goodbye should never be something someone has to face alone.
This sweet dog spent 18 years being loved, and when the time came, her family was able to give her the peaceful goodbye she deserved, surrounded by the person who loved her most.

This is what compassion looks like. Sometimes it’s veterinary care. Sometimes it’s a ride to the clinic. And sometimes, it’s simply making sure someone has the support they need to hold their best friend one last time. 🌈🐾

We’re grateful for partnerships like Big Paws of the Ozarks and Best Friends Animal Hospital that help us make these moments a little gentler for families and their pets.

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our amazing Dr. Warman! 🐾💚

Dr. Warman has dedicated so much of her time and heart to exotic and avian medicine, while also being deeply passionate about palliative and compassionate care. She brings so much knowledge, empathy, and dedication to every patient and family she cares for. 🦜🐰💕

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Warman loves hiking, traveling, beach days, snacks, and a good juice! 🌊🥾✈️🍿🧃 She’s also a proud dog mom to two pups who keep her company at home.
