⚡ Adoptable Foster of the Week!! ⚡

Friends, we're back for Day 2 of our mission to help Chamomile find her Forever Family! 💜

Yesterday, many of you helped spread the word about this sweet girl. Today, we're asking for another boost because the more people who see Cammie, the better her chances of finding the cozy home she's been dreaming about.

Meet Chamomile, affectionately known as Cammie by her foster family.

Cammie has fully embraced her 💕 Soft Girl Era 💕 and has no plans of turning back. Her hobbies include napping in cozy spots, soaking up sunshine from a warm window, enjoying a good meal, and claiming an available lap as her own.

Believe it or not, Cammie was originally found as a stray and was headed for a TNR appointment. But the moment we met her, we knew she wasn't a girl for the streets. She was simply too sweet, too affectionate, and far too interested in the comforts of indoor living.

Now she's looking for a forever family to spoil her the way she deserves. Every interaction helps Cammie's story travel a little farther and reach more potential adopters.

🚨 DAY 7: ONE LAST PUSH FOR STANLEY 🚨

One thing that has surprised us this week is that Stanley's posts have been seen by thousands of people, shared across multiple platforms, and reached far more people than we ever could have reached on our own.

And yet, after all of that, we still haven't received a single application for him.

Not one.

We know Stanley isn't the easiest dog to market. He isn't a tiny puppy. He doesn't have a dramatic medical story. He's simply a good dog who has spent more than two years waiting for someone to choose him.

The truth is, dogs like Stanley often get overlooked because everyone assumes someone else will step forward.

We're hoping someone proves us wrong.

For TWO YEARS, Stanley has been waiting.

Two years of watching other dogs leave. Two years of wondering when it will be his turn. Two years is basically forever in dog years. 😭

Stanley is a handsome hoarding survivor who has done the hard work of learning that people can be kind and that the world isn't such a scary place. Now he just needs someone willing to give him the happy ending he deserves.

We are so incredibly proud to announce that Stanley has officially earned his Hounds Town Seal of Approval! 🎓✨

When Stanley first came to us as a foster, he was just getting his paws wet. Fast forward to today, and he has become an absolute daycare pro! This versatile boy is an elite social butterfly. Whether a dog is high-energy and loves to romp, or prefers a more laid-back, chill vibe, Stanley adapts perfectly. He has an amazing ability to get along with all different temperaments and play styles.
But Stanley isn’t just a hit with the pups—he is a massive lover when it comes to humans, too!

Olive thinks this heatwave is just downright disrespectful 🥵

Remember, walks are best taken during the early morning hours, or at dusk when the pavement is cooler.

Avoid walkies and outdoor play time during the mid afternoon hours, but if you must, keep it short and provide lots of fresh, cool water. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can happen very quickly. Nobody wants a tragedy to become of a fun afternoon in the sun.

Know the signs:
✅Heavy Panting: Unrelenting, rapid, or noisy breathing.
✅Thick Saliva: Drooling excessively or producing thick, sticky, or foamy saliva.
✅Gum Changes: Bright red gums or tongue.
✅Restlessness: Pacing, agitation, or constantly seeking shade.
✅Lethargy: Suddenly slowing down or refusing to continue a walk.

Severe, Life-Threatening Symptoms:
When the dog's body temperature rises above 104° F, heat exhaustion can quickly escalate into a medical emergency.
Look out for:
✅Mental Dullness: Confusion, disorientation, or staring blankly.
✅Lack of Coordination: Stumbling, wobbly walking, or weakness in the hind legs.
✅Digestive Upset: Vomiting or diarrhea (which may contain blood).
✅Shock Signs: Pale, white, or blue gums and an increased heart rate.
✅Neurological Distress: Muscle tremors, seizures, or a comatose state.

What to Do Immediately if you notice any of these signs:
✅Move them: Get your dog to a shaded or air-conditioned area immediately.
✅Cool down: Wet your dog's fur with cool or tepid water. **Do not use ice-cold water or rubbing alcohol, as this can shock their system or cause hypothermia.
✅Offer water: Provide fresh drinking water, but do not force them to drink.
✅Seek care: Call your local veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital while you are in transit.
