🐾 Meet Larry! 💙

Larry is an 8-year-old hound mix who has been receiving chemotherapy treatments, and this sweet man has been doing AMAZING!

Larry has made one thing very clear: cancer cells are NOT going to ruin his good time. He still comes in ready for love, attention, treats, and plenty of tail wags.

He is truly one of the sweetest boys, and we absolutely love getting to see that handsome face when he comes in!

Keep kicking butt, Larry!

🐾 Labor Day Closure Reminder! 🐾

Mount Comfort Veterinary Care will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day! ❤️🤍💙

Our team will be taking the day to rest, recharge, and spend a little extra time with our own furry families. 🐶🐱

We’ll be back Tuesday, September 8th and open during our normal business hours.

Please plan ahead for any medications, food, or other pet care needs before the holiday weekend.

☀️ The summer heat isn’t done with us yet! ☀️

With temperatures still running high here in Northwest Arkansas, it’s important to keep our pets safe and cool!

💧 Keep fresh water available
🐾 Protect those paws from hot pavement
🌳 Stick to shade and cooler times of day for walks
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car — even with the windows cracked
☀️ Don’t forget that pets can get sunburned, too!

Keep an eye out for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, bright red gums, or acting disoriented.

When in doubt, skip the heat and head for the A/C! ❤️🐶🐱

Our day got a whole lot cuter thanks to one tiny visitor! 🐰💚

This little wild bunny stopped by to remind us that some of the sweetest moments happen when you least expect them. While we absolutely adored watching from a distance, it's important to remember that wild baby bunnies are best left alone unless they're truly injured or orphaned.

Safe to say our staff was completely smitten! 🥹

Some dogs just need a lap. 🥹

8 year old Cosmos came in for a dental cleaning and to have a broken tooth removed. Once his procedure was over, he decided the best place to recover was right in one of our nurses' laps, and honestly, who could say no to that face? 💙

A little extra love, a comfy lap, and lots of cuddles helped Cosmos through his recovery. We hope you're enjoying that fresh, healthy smile, sweet boy! 🐾

💙 Some patients come in for a procedure... Cooper came in for the belly rubs.

6 year old Cooper, our lovable Lab mix, stopped by for his suture removal and decided the best part of his visit was soaking up every bit of love from our team. Belly up, tail wagging, and completely convinced that cuddles are part of the treatment plan (we're not arguing! 😉).

We're so happy you're healing well, Cooper! Thanks for making everyone's day a little brighter. 🐾

🐾 Meet Aelin! 🩵

This sweet 9-month-old Siberian Husky recently visited us after ingesting a foreign body. While that can be a scary situation, we're happy to report that Aelin is recovering well!

If you know Huskies, you know their playful spirit is hard to keep down—and Aelin was no exception! She kept our nurses smiling with her puppy antics and was more than ready for playtime. 💙

Curious puppies love to explore the world with their mouths, which is why foreign body ingestions are one of the most common emergencies we see. If you think your pet has swallowed something they shouldn't, don't wait—give your veterinarian a call as soon as possible.

We're so happy to see Aelin back to being her happy, playful self! 🐺✨
