Can you spare some time to save a life? We need volunteer drivers to help move rescue animals to rescues and spay/neuter appointments from the Fayette County Animal Shelter. We can’t do this without the community! It’s a rewarding experience!

What Transport Volunteer Roles Involve:

Safe Driving: Transporting rescue dogs and cats to partner rescues, or spay/neuter drop-offs.

Requirements: Passing a standard background check and completing a volunteer application due to handling shelter resources and animals.Provided Support: vehicle and gas is provided.

She’s estimated to be around 2 years old and is a pit/lab mix who has the biggest heart (check comments for the videos of our cuddle session). Jamie has been at the Fayette County Animal Shelter for over 30 days which is insane when she’s amazing on leash, great with people and other dogs, and her fee has been covered! With the fee being covered that means shes up to date on shots, fixed, & microchipped !! Meet Lilo 💛 Lilo Needs a Virtual Foster! Lilo is a 3-year-old female Staffordshire Terrier who came to us alongside her sister, Lexi, after their family experienced a personal situation that required them to move. Despite the change, Lilo has remained the absolute sweetest girl—truly a squishy little sweet potato who just wants love. Lilo is house trained and does wonderfully with kids and other dogs, making her an easy addition to many types of homes. Her previous owner described her as an “Empath Dog,” and it couldn’t be more fitting. Lilo is incredibly in tune with human emotions and energy, making her a potential perfect emotional support companion. She thrives on connection and responds beautifully to kindness and reassurance. When Lilo first arrived at the shelter, she was understandably scared and unsure. But it didn’t take long—once she felt the warmth and encouragement from our staff, she came right out of her shell and showed her loving personality. That’s just who she is: a gentle, affectionate soul who just needs a safe place to land. Lilo is ready to find her forever home where she can give all the love she has to offer.
