Last weekend we gathered with ranch ministries from around the world for the 2026 International Ranch Ministry Conference, and our hearts are still full. The theme was unity and community, and God showed us exactly what that looks like.

It was a beautiful time of fellowship and encouragement. We prayed together, cared for one another, and made friendships we will carry with us long after the weekend.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

All glory to Jesus, the heart of this ministry and the One who makes us one. 🙏

Last week we said goodbye to Tinker Bell, and the Ranch feels a little emptier for it. 🤍

For 16 years she served our participants with a steadiness you could count on. She was the biggest horse on the Ranch and somehow the gentlest, standing solid and patient as nervous participants found their courage beside her. Every little girl who came through our gates seemed to pick her first. And she picked us right back. When she saw the Ranch getting ready for a session, she’d walk herself over to the ministry grounds without anyone asking. She loved her job.

We believe every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17), and Tinker Bell was one of the best. We’re grateful God let her serve here for as long as He did.

Thank you, Tinker Bell.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23

Our hearts are still full. 🤠💛

Saturday’s Hoedown was everything we prayed it would be and more. The rain held off until the covered arena kept us dry and the Ranch was filled with laughter, stick horse races, good food, dancing, and so many familiar faces alongside brand new ones.

To every single person who came out: thank you. To our volunteers who worked from sunup to well past sundown: thank you. To Farmville Fishin’ Pig for feeding us, Cavalry Trailer Company for getting the grounds ready, and everyone who gave to the silent auction: thank you.

Because of you, the Ranch gets to keep doing what it has done for 17 seasons: welcoming families across Central Virginia through our gates, free of charge, and pointing them to Jesus. That is not something we take lightly.

All glory to God for a night we will not forget. He provided the people, the provisions, and the joy. We just got to show up and watch Him work.

Until next year, y’all! 🐴

The Ranch is buzzing this morning! 🐴✨

Grounds work, silent auction tables, and a whole lot of heart. Our volunteers have been hard at work since early this morning getting everything ready for tonight, and we could not be more grateful for every set of hands that showed up.

This is what it looks like when a community comes together for something bigger than itself. All glory to God for the people He keeps sending our way.

Doors open at 4 PM, and we can’t wait to see ya’ll!

A huge thank you to Cavalry Trailer Company!

A little background: both of our mowers went out of service this week, just days before the Hoedown. Cavalry Trailer Company reached out and donated their mowing services to help us get the Ranch in order for the weekend.

We are forever in awe of His provision. God always makes a way, and so often He does it through the kindness of people in our community.

See y'all tomorrow at the Ranch! 🐴

🐴 Friday Fun Fact!

Every horse in our ministry herd has been donated except one. On average, they’ve served the Ranch faithfully for 14½ years.

And in just 2 weeks, we get to celebrate that faithfulness together at our Hoedown Fundraiser on September 12!

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29

Just like our horses carry this ministry forward one step at a time, we’d love for you to find rest, community, and purpose alongside us at the Ranch.

Can’t wait to see you there!
