🐾 Pet Obesity Month Tips
October is a great time to help your pet reach and maintain a healthy weight. A few simple habits can make a big difference:

🍽️ Measure meals — Follow your veterinarian’s feeding recommendations rather than guessing portions.
🥕 Watch the treats — Treats and table scraps can add up quickly. Keep extras to about 10% of daily calories.
🐕 Get moving — Add daily walks, play sessions, or other age-appropriate activities.
🧩 Make mealtime active — Puzzle feeders and food-dispensing toys can provide both mental and physical stimulation.
⚖️ Monitor weight regularly — Small changes are easier to address before they become a bigger problem.
🩺 Schedule a wellness check — Your veterinarian can assess your pet’s body condition and create a safe weight-management plan.
❤️ Focus on health, not appearance — Healthy weight can support mobility, energy, and overall quality of life.
