Honoring Linda Stuurman:

I first met Linda in 1992, 14 years after opening my equine ambulatory practice when I decided to change disciplines.
Not knowing where to turn, I learned of the plight of feral cats. Everyone I asked for guidance on how to get involved,
unequivocally instructed me; “Contact Linda Stuurman of Last Hope . Linda is your go to for anything you need to know.”

I am certain that many of you had the same experience when you first met Linda.
Her calm demeanor, profound knowledge, composed and steadfast determination got things done.
Relentless in her pursuit to improve the lives of animals. Working with shelters, rescuers, veterinarians,
municipal leaders, animal control and people in need with patience, respectful perseverance and accountability.
Through her community of likeminded people, under Linda’s leadership, we collaborated, networked and accomplished tangible results.
The TNR movement, animal cruelty, affordable and free spay/neuter; working with proponents and challenging adversaries. No impediment deterred her.

“Can’t”, was not in her vocabulary! “ Where there is a will, there is a way”.
Linda Stuurman has been resolute and unwavering with a steadfast “will” and the intellectual acumen to find a “way”.

We have had the privilege of helping spay and neuter some of these cats, and every one of them has touched our hearts. Despite the difficult conditions they came from, they are all incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving souls.

Each cat deserves the chance to live a healthy, safe, and happy life. We’re grateful to be part of their journey and thankful to everyone working to give them the care and compassion they deserve. Special shout out to Dr. Sam Soricelli. 🐾❤️

👅🐾 Tongue Out Tuesday! 🐾👅

Some cats just can’t keep their tongues to themselves—and honestly, we love them for it! Whether it’s a tiny blep, a goofy grin, or a full-on tongue hang, these adorable expressions always make us smile.

At Tender Loving Veterinary Clinic, we believe every smile (and every blep!) deserves the best care possible. ❤️

Almost 200 cats have been spayed and neutered so far this month of May. Every single cat that comes through our doors is handled with love, compassion, and care because our volunteers, assistants, vet techs, and veterinarians truly care about the lives they are helping save.

This work isn’t glamorous. It’s long days, hard work, and emotional moments — but it is absolutely necessary. Every spay and neuter helps prevent suffering, reduces homelessness, and gives cats a better future.

Thank you to everyone who supports this mission and helps make this lifesaving work possible.
