**Public Service Announcement**
Please keep in mind that we are not a full-service veterinary clinic and are not open every day. We typically return calls, texts, and emails within 24 hours; however, due to the high volume of calls, texts, and emails we receive, responses may occasionally take longer. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to respond to everyone as quickly as possible.

If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please do not wait for a response from our clinic. Take your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

That being said, we have just opened additional appointments for Monday, October 19, 2026, as our October spay/neuter schedule is almost completely full. We will be opening our November appointments as soon as possible and appreciate your patience while we finalize the schedule.

Thank you for your understanding.

Have you had an experience with Tender Loving Veterinary Clinic? We’d love to hear from you!

Running a small, specialized veterinary clinic is no easy task. Every day, our team works hard to provide affordable spay/neuter services and compassionate veterinary care to the cats who need us most. We do this with a small team, limited resources, and a commitment to making spay/neuter more accessible.

We know we can’t be everything to everyone. We are not a full-service veterinary practice, and our services and availability reflect our specialized mission. But behind every appointment is a team of people who genuinely care about the animals we serve and the people who bring them to us.

If you’ve brought your cat to TLVC, trusted us with a feral cat from your colony, or worked with us to help reduce feline overpopulation on Long Island, please consider taking a moment to leave us a Google review.

Your feedback helps other pet owners and rescuers find us, helps our small clinic grow, and reminds our team that the work we do matters.

Small businesses and specialized clinics like ours rely on community support. If we’ve made a difference for you or a cat in your care, we would be grateful if you shared your experience.

Thank you for supporting Tender Loving Veterinary Clinic and helping us make a difference, one cat at a time.

This past Monday, we came together to spay/neuter, examine, and vaccinate 50 cats for The North Fork Country Kids:Rescue and Preservation Through Pedagogy

Fifty.

They were finishing up the Dix Hills colony, working on other colonies across Long Island, and also needed veterinary care for some of their adoptable cats and kittens.

It was an incredibly long, exhausting day. The kind of day where everyone is running on fumes, your body hurts, your brain is fried, and you wonder how you’re going to do it all again tomorrow.

But we couldn’t say no.

Because this is what desperation looks like.

It looks like 50 cats needing help all at once.

It looks like rescue groups completely overwhelmed, volunteers stretched beyond their limits, colonies that have gone years without enough resources, and cats continuing to reproduce because there simply aren’t enough places to take them and not enough veterinarians willing or able to help.

And honestly, this is why we opened TLVC.

We didn’t open this clinic because it was easy. We opened it because Long Island was drowning in cats and there were nowhere near enough resources to help them.

Every single week, we see the magnitude of the problem firsthand.

And some days, it feels absolutely impossible.

But then there are 50 cats who are no longer going to contribute to another litter. 50 cats who received medical care, vaccines, and a chance at something better.

So we keep going.

Even when we’re exhausted.
Even when the need feels endless.
Even when we’re overwhelmed.

Because they need us.

And until there are enough resources for the cats of Long Island, we will keep showing up.

Today, we opened our clinic to help 11 cats and kittens from the News 12 Long Island situation in Dix Hills get the care they desperately need. ❤️🐾

These cats are being trapped and placed by Virginia from The North Fork Country Kids:Rescue and Preservation Through Pedagogy, who is doing the painstaking, boots-on-the-ground work of trapping and finding homes for the friendly cats and kittens from this location.

We would love to comp their surgeries, but we need your help! If we can raise $1,100, we can cover the spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations & microchips for all 11 cats and kittens and others like them. 🙏

Donate here https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/RPVTXQN55CNVS or under the link in our Bio!

🐾 Interested in adopting one of these cats or kittens? Please contact North Fork Country Kids.

🐾 Can’t adopt but want to help? Please consider making a donation to their wonderful organization. They are out there doing the hard work every day, helping cats who otherwise might not have a chance.

And a huge thank you to the doctors and staff who came in today on such short notice to make this possible. We are so grateful for their dedication, compassion, and willingness to step up for these cats. ❤️

Together, we can make a difference for these 11 cats and give them a chance at a safe, happy future.

Please donate and share! Every dollar and every share helps. 😻
