At Cherokee Flats, we believe that adding a new member to your family should be a well-thought-out decision, not a holiday surprise. To ensure our animals go to prepared, forever homes, we are implementing our annual Easter break:

🚫 CLOSED TO SALES & PICK-UPS: March 29th – April 19th

We take this stand every year because animals are NOT gifts. Whether it’s a rabbit, a chick, or any other living creature, they require:

✅ A lifetime commitment (8–12 years for rabbits!)

✅ Daily specialized care and vet expenses

✅ A permanent place in your heart and home

"Easter Bunnies" are far too often bought on a whim and abandoned once the holiday magic wears off. Our priority is—and always will be—the health and welfare of our animals.

🧸 Looking for an Easter present? We highly recommend the toy aisle for a plush stuffed animal! It’s just as cute and much better suited for a surprise.

We are please to announce we have added Polish to our breeding program. Autumn and I will be working together on this project. We are excited to have the little 3 lb bunnies in our barn again. Be on the lookout for Polish babies in 2026!!

It's been a busy couple of weeks here at Cherokee Flats.

We've added 4 new Mini Lop, Got 5 Mini Lop bred, got 3 Creme d'Argent bred, added a new Flemish Giant buck, ordered 4 new cage stacks ($2,100!!) that we'll pick up in Pontiac on 09/13/2025, began making a potential show schedule for us, updated the website, added a couple of sales for the upcoming months, moved the Creme's down to the basement with the Champagnes, discussed expanding the d'Argents and possibly adding Agrente Bruns to complete our "d'Argent Alley", make a list of other cages and items we need to replace in the barn, cleaned cages (rabbit cages anyway) and despite doing all of this, I still feel like I didn't get anything done this weekend LOL

Up next will be getting the Flemish bred.

Fall on the farm is never a dull time of year.

side note: anyone else notice that our "hobbies" are the reason we have incomes. These little furballs are EXPENSIVE!!
