☀️🐶 Summer adventures are more fun when everyone stays safe (including our four-legged family members)!

As temperatures climb, it's important to remember that dogs don't cool down the same way people do. What may feel warm to us can quickly become dangerous for them, especially during outdoor activities, walks on hot pavement, or time spent in vehicles.

Heat-related emergencies can develop faster than many pet owners realize. A little planning (plenty of water, access to shade, avoiding the hottest parts of the day, and monitoring your pet closely) can go a long way in keeping your dog safe.

We've put together this quick guide to help you recognize when a dog may be overheating and what steps to take if an emergency occurs.

📞 If you ever have concerns about your pet, our emergency team is here 24/7 at 701-478-9299.

Stay cool, stay safe, and enjoy the summer! 🐾💙...

Can we get some High Fives for 5 Years?! 🙌🎉🐾

Help us congratulate Alex (ft. Dr. Carver) - our fearless Practice Manager - on his【5】 【Y】【E】【A】【R】anniversary with RRAEH! Alex's commitment to our hospital and teams has really shown since his time here, and we are so grateful for his hard work, ideas, and passion! 💜🐾

Check out what Alex has had to say about his RRAEH 5-year journey:
🗣 Describe your first 5 years at RRAEH using only 3 emojis:
🕵️🛠️❤️

🔄 What's something you've learned about yourself since joining RRAEH?
That I love challenges and that I thoroughly enjoy working for an independent practice.

🏆 What's your proudest accomplishment?
Off the top of my head right now, it would be hiring our first, second, and third specialists or the overall teamwork and accomplishment of implementing EzyVet and VetRadar.

👀How has your outlook changed since year 1?
I think both my work and outlook have changed. My work has grown from starting here 5 years ago with no real direction or understanding of what my position would be or how I would help this hospital, to becoming practice manager and helping to implement new changes and grow our hospital over the last five years. My outlook I guess has always been that I want to help this hospital grow and succeed in any way that I can.

💭One moment that always makes you smile?
I don't know that there is a single moment, but lots of small moments in which I have received a thank you or have been told that its great having you here.

📬What would a message to Year 1 You say?
Try to enjoy every moment because its going to fly by!

🎵The song that best sums up your RRAEH journey so far?
Changes - David Bowie - My past 5 years has been mostly spent helping to or implementing changes across our hospital. Some big and others small. Second song choice would be 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton, only switch the hours to 5 to 9....
