CATS Cradle Shelter is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 no-kill shelter for rescued cats and kittens. Our residents live in colonies of 6-10 cats in individual room units based on compatibility. They are cared for by a core group of shelter volunteers. Young kittens are frequently fostered in private homes where they get 24 hr care. Kittens do not reside in the shelter until they are at least 16 weeks of age,

however they can be seen by potential adopters on Saturdays during our open house from noon - 5pm when the foster parents bring them to the shelter for the day. CATS Cradle is currently funded 100% by donations and adoption fees. If you are looking for a way to help out please contact us at 701-356-7877 for details. Donations are always welcome and can be facilitated through Paypal by using the donate button.

We are incredibly honored and grateful to have been selected by the Moorhead team at Old National Bank through their Choose Your Charity program for a $2,500 sponsorship donation to Cats Cradle Shelter.

A huge thank you to Old National Bank for supporting local rescue efforts and believing in the work we do for homeless and vulnerable cats and kittens in our community.

We also want to sincerely thank every single person who took the time to vote for us. Your support means more than you know. Because of you, we can continue providing medical care, food, shelter, and second chances to cats who need us most.

It truly takes a community to save lives, and we are so thankful to have all of you standing behind us.

From all of us at Cats Cradle Shelter…thank you for making a difference.

🚨 Experienced Foster Needed 🚨

We are looking for an experienced foster for 3 spicy little kittens, approximately 7-8 weeks old, who need socialization and patience to help them learn that people can be trusted.

These babies are scared, not mean, and with the right environment, time, and dedication, they will come around beautifully. They need a calm home, consistency, and someone who understands shy or semi-feral kittens.

If you are already approved to foster with us and have room in your heart and your home to help these little ones, please text 701-367-1511.

Please share to help us find the perfect foster match for these babies. ❤️

Come see us and all our friends at Open House today Tuesday 5/26 from 3pm - 6pm at Cats Cradle!!

🖤🤍 Meet Chococat & Mermaid 🤍🖤
Two gorgeous black-and-white girls looking for soft beds, sunny windows, and someone to love them exactly as they are.

✨ Chococat, 14: Retired. Refined. Professional napper. Ready to live the rest of her life in luxury.
Her ideal day includes cozy blankets, gentle head scratches, and being reminded she’s the prettiest girl in the room. She’s sweet, calm, and ready to spend her golden years in peace and comfort.

✨ Mermaid, 5: Soft as a cloud with a tiny black nose and a heart full of love. She’s happiest lounging beside you on the couch, collecting affection, toys, and the occasional special treat (but not too many, she's wanting to watch her figure). She’s friendly, gentle, and absolutely stunning.

💌 About us: • Big fans of comfy beds
• Quiet companionship experts
• Looking for a calm home with lots of love
• We came to the shelter together but are purrfectly okay to set out on our own adventures.

If your dream roommate situation includes purring, cuddles, and matching black-and-white elegance… we may be your girls. 🐾

Although we were closed for part of the month of April, we still were able to re-home many sweet felines to their “fur”ever homes. Thanks to everyone who supports our mission. 😻

UPDATE: Foster FOUND

These three scared little kittens are looking for a foster home where they can learn that people are safe and loving. They are approximately 8–9 weeks old and were recently live trapped.

Don’t let their fearful behavior fool you… with the right environment, patience, and dedicated socialization, they should come around quickly. They do not swat or bite; they are simply scared and unsure right now.

What they really need is some good old-fashioned blanket therapy, quiet time, gentle handling, and a foster willing to help them build confidence and trust.

Watching frightened kittens blossom into affectionate companions is one of the most rewarding parts of fostering. If you can help give these babies a safe place to decompress and learn to love, please reach out by texting 701-367-1511.

Barn Buddy Cats Available
(All female, spayed, and approximately 1 year old or younger)

Golfer, Bumblebee, and Biscuit were live-trapped on the Fargo Country Club golf course after spending their entire lives outside fending for themselves. Thankfully, a caring resident contacted us for help, and we were able to safely trap them and get them fully vetted.

Because these cats are feral and not suited for indoor life, we are looking for safe farm, shop, or outbuilding placements where all 3 of them can continue living independently while still receiving regular care.

Requirements for placement:

• A secure area where they can be confined for approximately 2 weeks to establish the location as their new home and food source
• Consistent access to food and fresh water year-round
• Safe shelter from the elements, such as a barn, heated shop, garage, or outbuilding

Barn cats provide excellent natural rodent control while still living life on their own terms. If you are looking for hardworking “Barn Buddy” cats, Golfer, Bumblebee, and Biscuit may be the perfect fit.

Please call Cats Cradle Shelter at 701-356-7877 for more information.

Thank you to the students of Liberty Middle School for making tie blankets for the kitties of Cats Cradle Shelter. ❤️

These cozy blankets will help keep our cats and kittens warm, comfortable, and feeling safe while they wait for their forever homes. Small acts of kindness like this make such a big difference for the animals in our care.

We truly appreciate the time, effort, and love that went into each blanket. Thank you for thinking of our shelter pets and helping make their days a little brighter. 🐾

❤️🐾🐈‍⬛ THANK YOU 🐈‍⬛🐾❤️

When we make an ask, you all really show up for us. ❤️

Here is the freight that came in yesterday and wow, were we happy and relieved. Every donation means full bellies for hungry kittens in our care.

We did the math, and this shipment will feed the number of kittens we currently have for about ONE week. To put that into perspective, one litter of 5 kittens eats about 4 servings per day, that’s 20 servings every single day for just one litter.

The amount of food it takes to care for orphaned and growing kittens is truly incredible, and we could not do it without all of you standing behind us.

Thank you for helping us keep these babies fed, healthy, and growing strong. We are so grateful for this amazing community. 🐾
