Hi there… I’m Dana! 🐶 I’m a sweet, smart, and affectionate girl with the most gorgeous blue eyes and a whole lot of love to give. 🩵 I can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men and kids, but if you give me a little patience, some tasty treats, and let me move at my own pace, I warm up quickly and bond fast with my person. Once I trust you, I’m all about snuggles and will happily curl up in your lap like I’m a tiny little puppy.

I’m a very intelligent girl and I love learning new things. I already know sit, down, and touch, and I’m picking up new skills quickly because I’m eager to please. I’d love a home that will keep helping me learn through fun training, games, and maybe even agility work someday.

I’m playful, goofy, and full of energy. I LOVE 🎾 tennis balls, am learning that fetch is pretty awesome, and have a blast running around with my dog friends. I’m also great on 🚗 car rides and would love to tag along on all your adventures. 🌞

I sleep quietly in my kennel all night and I’m doing really well with potty training. I’m still working on feeling more comfortable spending time in my kennel during the day, so I’ll need a little patience as I keep building confidence. I can be curious and love having things to keep my busy mind occupied, so plenty of toys, enrichment, and gentle guidance will help me continue to thrive.

I do well with other dogs, seem to do fine with cats, and would thrive with a patient family who can help build my confidence and continue showing me the world is a safe and exciting place. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, clever companion with stunning blue eyes and a big heart, I might just be your girl. 🥰🐕🐾

Hi, I’m Hayward — professional attention seeker, part-time shadow, full-time sweetheart. My daily schedule includes following humans around, demanding pets like it’s my full-time job, and staring lovingly into your soul until you acknowledge how handsome I am. Personal space? Never heard of it. If you’ve got hands, they should probably be petting me.

I’m also FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you off — I’ve still got plenty of love, headbutts, and main-character energy to share. My dream home is one where I can soak up all the affection, act like I own the place, and remind you constantly that the world does, in fact, revolve around me. 😎

FOLLOW-UP FRIDAY: Monkey came into our care back in February, and it didn’t take long for this sweet, affectionate, playful girl to steal hearts. She found her perfect match and was adopted on April 25th. Now, she’s living her best life filled with love, cuddles, and plenty of adventures. Check out this sweet update we recently received from her family. ❤️
We got our Monkey a few weeks ago. But it feels like she has been in our lives a whole lot longer. My husband and I were not in the market to adopt or get a dog. Until one afternoon, I scrolled through Facebook, and saw Homeward post a picture of this dog, and I knew right when I saw her photo, she needed to come home with us. And 3 days later she did!

Monkey is an amazing dog, and we feel so blessed to have her in our home. We don't know who is happier, us or her. We have been enjoying seeing her get more comfortable and learning her quirks and personality.

Her favorite activities are car rides to get pup cups, soaking up attention, going on walks, and cuddles. She is such a (loud) cuddle bug, but she is the best nap buddy around!

Also, I want to thank you guys for a few things…
1. Being such an amazing organization to give a second chance and a safe haven for pups and other animals.

2. For being candid and honest about the strengths and growth areas of dogs. And giving us tools to make sure we meet her needs and have her thrive.

3. Your fosters are so great! Monkey's foster mom has been a gem and such a good wealth of knowledge, tips, and tricks. I have texted her so many times about my monkey questions, and she has been so great at answering them. The love you guys and the fosters have for Monkey and the other animals is so heartwarming and really set Monkey up for success.

We so appreciate your advocacy and true and loving passion you have for animals in your care.
