A sad but good day in the Dane world yesterday. Devin was finally caught and his Danes were rescued! I believe the final tally was 82 Danes! Living in awful conditions, I saw at least a handful had to be muzzled for biting because they were so terrified. Cowering in corners and anywhere they could.

There was a pile of Danes who had passed up along his tree line and some in a deep freezer.

He got in trouble years back but unfortunately word didn’t get out enough so he was able to start over in a different state. Like another breeder said we need to never forget the name Devin Harris and never allow this to happen to babies in his care ever again.
“Daisy Dane rescue” was the group that went in and saved all the babies, I know they will be looking for lots of foster/adoptive homes or funds if anyone wants to help out to get them back in shape and in good loving homes.

Sweet big baby sarge was lost to bloat last night, he was from our first litter June 2020, rest easy big boy 🖤 he was my first “what the heck do I do” baby, Lottie wasn’t making enough milk and they will push away the “weakest” puppy so the rest have a better chance to make it. She would nip at him and growl, as soon as I caught it I pulled him and he stayed with me for 24 hours. I’d sneak him in by her back legs and tuck him under someone else so she wouldn’t see him there while I’d give her a piece of meat so he could eat. Thanks to my best friends MIL who has been breeding for a long time (diff breed) we got Lottie’s calcium intake up and after a day of sneaking him in she was totally fine with him again. I love every single puppy I have produce but every litter there’s always one that sticks out just a little bit extra, sarge was my first extra connection. His owners said he was loved by anyone and everyone who came in contact with him, I’m sorry for your guys loss 🖤

Nothing like a good ol April snow 🫠😂 I think we have about a foot 😂 started snowing a little on April 1st (natures April fools joke) but then last night around 9 o’clock started snowing, snowed all night long and it’s still snowing ❄️❄️

Making a super hard decision to place Phoebe with a breeder friend, I have been going through some personal stuff the past year and life currently isn’t what I’ve ever imagined. I’m so excited for where she is going though, I have known B since around 2020 and she treats her babies like family and they are so very well taken care of! Pheebs has turned out so stunning and B has a gorgeous boy thought of to still potentially have puppies. I will have the option to get a puppy from one of her litters if life has settled down some the next year or so and I can’t to see what little nuggets she produces. They only live a couple hours from us and we can go visit and see her.

Please no negative comments I didn’t go into bringing her back into our family with the thought of ever letting her go but unfortunately things happen. She has already met Bs family/other dogs so hopefully it will be an easy and quick transition. I’m sad for Mr Rollo he has never been an “only kid” so he will be getting allll the walks, runs and snuggles so he hopefully doesn’t get lonely🖤
