✨ Practice Update ✨

I wanted to share an update with everyone regarding my veterinary practice.

My last day seeing patients at Valley Veterinary Hospital will now be July 24th.

I want to sincerely thank the wonderful clients, patients, and team at Valley for allowing me to be part of your pets' lives. It has truly been a privilege to care for so many incredible families.

For those of you who were hoping to schedule an appointment with me before I left but weren't able to, or for those who would like to continue seeing me for your pets' general veterinary care, I'm excited to share that I'll be joining Two Rivers Veterinary Hospital beginning August 5th.

As always, Paws of Serenity will continue providing the same compassionate mobile services throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area, including:
🐾 In-home pet euthanasia
🐾 Rehabilitation
🐾 Chiropractic care

Thank you for your continued trust and support. I'm incredibly grateful for the relationships I've built over the years and look forward to caring for your pets in this next chapter—whether that's in your home through Paws of Serenity or at Two Rivers Veterinary Hospital.

Pet Memorial:
Casey was a rescue dog from Craigslist. His first owners kept him in a 45" screened enclosure. Young couple, with a new baby, they had no clue.

He learned to run the zipper from the inside with his nose. Opening it enough to get out. Then running around, tearing things up, peeing and pooping everywhere.

We were together for 12 years, he was my constant buddy. Saved my life a few times, and I think I saved his a couple.

At the end he stopped eating, drinking. Shrunk down to about half his weight of a year before. Slept in a padded bed with extra padding mostly all the time.

At the end I did not know what was right. So I went out on a limb and asked Chat GPT. He included Paws of Serenity's phone number. Next morning we called. Filled out the form, got quote including cremation. A little after 3pm the vet gave him a shot in the butt. He walked around for a couple of minutes. Then laid down and slowly drifted into deeper and deeper sleep. Then doc gave him another 1cc shot into the body. And in 3 minutes he had passed.

Peacefully, quietly, with no fuss or fighting.

We will be calling them again when needed.

The doctor was incredibly nice, professional, friendly, helpful.
I can not give them a glowing enough review.
They are first rate.

So let me leave you with this.

In a years time, what will you remember?

I was scared, overwhelmed, and worried about money when my old dog was nearing the end. More than anything, I didn’t want him to suffer.

In the end, the money didn’t matter—his peace did.

If you’re going through this right now, focus on their comfort. That’s what matters most. You’re not wrong for wanting a peaceful end for them—that’s love.

In a years time you won't remember the money, or the fear.

You will very likely remember their pain. You will always remember how you chose to deal with it.
--------------
Thank you to Casey's owners for this very thoughtful memorial.
