People For Cats We are a non-profit no kill organization that is run solely by volunteers on donated funds, food.

People for Cats also finds suitable homes for adoptable homeless cats. Each calendar year we are proud that we have placed approximately 250 cats in homes. We also reduce the feral population with our trap,spay/neuter
and release program. We want to educate the public on how to prevent overpopulation, the importance of taking their pets to the vets once a year for booster shots and a general health exam. Please call our hotline or email us if you have any concerns.

Spot and Tangerine are a pair of large, handsome domestic short hair brothers. These fellows are 4 years old and came to PFC after their previous owner passed away. They are shy and having a bit of trouble adjusting to the shelter environment, so it is hard to tell what their personalities are like. Spot is a big white cat with some black patches on his head, back and tail, he also has a cute little pink nose. Tangerine, not surprisingly, is an orange and white tabby with an orange blaze across his nose. Both boys are neutered, up to date on their shots, and microchipped. They need to find a home together and will need an angel who is willing to take the time and effort to allow them to relax and gain some confidence.

To meet Spot and Tangerine at PFC you must have an application on file with us and been pre-approved to adopt a cat. Our adoption hours are intended for pre-approved adopters. An application for pre-approval to adopt can be picked up at the shelter during adoption hours or sent by email to be filled out and brought in. Once you have been pre-approved, you are welcome to come to the she

Lotti is a beautiful 6-month-old female silver/gray tabby. This cutie was found as a stray kitten in Florida and was sent north in hopes of finding a loving "fur-ever" home. She is a bit reserved, but is very sweet when you spend some time getting to know her. Lotti is spayed, up to date on her shots, and microchipped. She is now looking for a home.

ADOPTED
Ida is a beautiful black and white tuxedo short hair female. This little lady is 3 year old and sports a shiny ebony coat accented with white on her chin, bib, tummy and paws. She also has incredibly beautiful jade green eyes that implore you to love her. Ida was transferred up from Florida where she raised a litter of kittens. She is still shy after her trip north, but is reported to be very gentle, loving pets and belly rubs and making biscuits when she is happy. Ida is spayed, up to date on her shots and microchipped. She is now looking for a loving "fur-ever" home.

Lavender(Tabby) seems to have been born believing that she is half kitten, half puppy. She is curious, playful, and brave in the face of unfamiliar or noisy situations (hello vacuum cleaner). No matter what she is doing (chasing a ball, killing a stuffed mouse, eating ...), if you scoop her up, her brain automatically shifts into cuddle mode. She settles into your arms purring and head-butting your face. When she wants attention, she will jump on your lap, try to climb your legs, or simply find your hand and shove her head under it. Make room on your pillow - that will likely be her favorite place to sleep.

Her sister, Lotus(White) is a striking, beautiful girl who, at first meeting, seems to be her polar opposite. However, with patience and time, Lotus has proven to be just as loving. Lotus and Lavender are ready to settle together into the comfy furrever home they deserve.

Kittens are adopted in pairs and adopters need to be pre-approved. Please contact Anne @ [email protected] for the application
