Meet our seniors!

Senior pets deserve a second chance too, with their own benefits for adopting. They offer calm companionship and predictable behavior, already having proper training and social skills built over the years. Their personalities are well-known, often seeking a home where they can spend their golden years soaking in the sunshine with their new family.

If you've been looking for a companion who will loyally love you for the rest of their days, adopt a senior pet today!

Cat of the week: Claire

Claire is a 5-year-old girl with lots of personality. She prefers to have the spotlight to herself, so an adult home as the only cat is where she’d thrive best! She can be a little on the shy side, but is happy to roll over and demand pets when she feels comfortable. We do not know her preference for dogs in the home.

Dog of the week: Heeler siblings

Between 5-6 years old, these two Heelers can go together or to their own separate homes. Our female Heeler is true to her breed, so she will need an active family! The male Heeler is more gentle and easy-going. Both are good with other dogs, but we do not know their history with cats or children, so slow intros are a must.

Stop by and meet our Heelers!

'HE'S EVERYTHING I NEED RIGHT NOW:' A few years ago, Atticus Fagan first encountered Kobe, a deaf pit bull, when he began working weekends at the Humane Society of Harford County. The pair did not click immediately; for Fagan, Kobe was certainly a handful.

But over time, Fagan began working individually with Kobe and the two developed a special bond. Fagan has now adopted Kobe, ending his long-term confinement at the shelter and overcoming the long odds of a deaf pit bull finding a forever home.
