Well today is the day. Our first few Rhacophorus reinwardtii (Black-Webbed Tree Frog) froglets are out of the water. As you can see they already have some of their toe coloring. Arguably black, some call it blue. I’ll stick with Amphiaweb’s nomenclature.

Our Rhacophorus reinwardtii tadpoles have been putting on some size. Two more weeks and we may see some froglets.

Our Black Web Gliding Frog tadpoles (Rhacophorus reinwardtii) have started to hatch. The number is more than we were expecting.

Something unexpected and downright awesome happened in the weee-hours of this morning; Our Black-Webbed Gliding Tree Frogs (Rhacophorus reinwardtii) laid a foam nest. This has been a long road to this point and honestly it didn’t seem like we’d have success. I guess patience pays off. Stay tuned for tadpoles hopefully 🤞.

Now that we’ve had time to decompress a bit from National Frog Fest, we wanted to express our deepest gratitude to everyone that stopped by to see us. Andy Baker did a phenomenal job organizing and managing the event activates, the attendees had so much energy and the vendors were a delight to talk to. This was hands down the most fun we’ve had at an event. We can’t wait to do it again next year.

So Version 2 of the naturalistic rain system was fleshed out today. This is a slightly different take on version 1. The now attached canister filter not only helps with water flow and filtering but now provides adjustable flow to the drip tubing. We’re excited to see what we can improve with Version 3.

Had some time after a long expo the previous day to relax. It’s snowing outside so we’re working in the frog room, specifically with our Powdered and Cascade glass frogs.

In the light of the ongoing events in our area we've created a new section on our website (see the link below). Going forward, and on some yet to be determined regularity, we will be posting our facility testing results. We could add more fluff to this post but the reality is that we have always been doing this. Things are now just being published for ease of access. Sara and I truly do appreciate all of the support and we'll keep doing what we do.
