FALL RIVER, THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT. 💜

Overdose has taken far too many people from this city. Sons and daughters. Parents. Brothers, sisters, friends and neighbors.

On Friday, August 28, Fall River will come together at The Meadows inside Fall River Heritage State Park for an evening of remembrance, support and hope.

Recover Fall River is organizing this year’s Overdose Awareness Day gathering with support from the City of Fall River. BOLDER will also be joining the community, and nationally known recovery artist Skyler Ray and company will perform.

⏰ 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM
📍 The Meadows at Fall River Heritage State Park
200 Davol Street, Fall River

The evening is expected to include:

💜 Community recovery resources
💜 Free Narcan and overdose-prevention information
💜 Speakers and a dove release
💜 A memorial video honoring local lives lost
💜 A candlelight procession
💜 A live performance by Skyler Ray
💜 Food trucks and raffles

Bring a lawn chair if you plan to stay for the performance and vigil.

This isn’t only for people in recovery. It’s for the families carrying an unimaginable loss, the people still struggling, the people doing the outreach work and every person willing to replace judgment with compassion.

We remember the people we lost. We stand beside the people still here. And we keep fighting for the ones who believe nobody cares.
