Here is what the Tokul Trails Parcel A can look like if we do not speak up and work to preserve public access to this beautiful forest for recreation. Parcel B and C are also at risk for public access.

Sealed bids have been opened, but everyone is tight-lipped about who may be the new owners. There has been no public announcement. Whoever wins the auction, we will still need to lobby them for public access and forest preservation. TESTIFY TODAY by completing your Declaration of Use.

Friends of Fall City Arena is collecting statements of use to present to the new land owners, public officials, and other involved parties in support of public access. Follow the link below to obtain your form and return it by September 14.

On Tuesday several folks joined the King County Council meeting to share their concerns about the sale of the large tracks of land east of Fall City currently known as Campbell Global/Tokul Trails. They expressed their desire to have the County do whatever they could to assure this wilderness is preserved for recreation. It was sad to see that only one equestrian spoke. All the rest were mountain bikers.

This area has been a beacon to trail-loving equestrians for many years. I still recall the “bra trail” where hardy souls showed their freedom-loving equestrian lifestyle by leaving their bras hung on trees along one of the trails. To this day, equestrians are parking at the Fall City Arena and heading up into the hills to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful vistas.

If we want to keep this beautiful resource open to equestrians, we need to stand up and take action before this land is forever lost to development and clear cut logging. You can do your part by testifying to the use and value of these lands for recreation.

Friends of Fall City Arena is currently collecting Declarations of Use to share with County and State officials to make them aware of the importance of protecting access to these forests and making the equestrian crossing of SR-203 safer. Whether you use the trails today or have fond memories of trail rides gone by, your voice is needed. Write us and we’ll send you a document you can fill in with your personal experiences, return it, and know that the equestrian community will be heard.

Come join our arena maintenance team and keep Fall City Arena in tip-top shape. You’ll be part of a volunteer team that wants to make free public riding spaces safe and available to horse owners throughout the area.
