We've been out of power for a while now and trees came down in the road across from my little deck almost hitting my brother's car. Crazy storm!!!!!

Please keep your pets safe tonight during the firework show. Cats get just as spooked as dogs when it comes to loud explosions of fireworks being launched and popping off.

Make sure your pets each have an ID tag in case of a panicked escape.
A visible ID tag, with your correct contact info will ensure a quick return home, should your furbaby manage to get away when the fireworks begin.

I have always done a double lock down. Utilizing an interior room of the house with the door securely shut will give you added protection to keep your dog/cat safe, inside of the house tonight.

Should your dog escape, contact your local sheriff/police thru the non-emergency number and give them a description of your dog, so they can reunite the two of you when your dog is found.

If you find a lost dog, try to locate/contact the owner BEFORE reporting to law enforcement. Let's not overwhelm dispatch with unnecessary calls if you can reach the owner yourself.

Stay safe, keep your pets safe and enjoy the holiday.
