Black Smoke Farm does the Hunt Races!!! It was our first time tailgating and racing. We even got a 3rd place in the Farm to Tailgate category.

Samantha made fresh pizza all day and everyone brought delicious dips, desserts and drinks.

Kelly and Ron headed up to decor and Ty got to bring out the old farm truck!

It was so much fun getting everyone together on a picture perfect fall day. The extra special part for me was Cathie getting to come and hang out with the barn family Ive built. Cath was the biggest mentor to me as a kid and teen. What she had built for us back then was always the community I dreamed of having myself ❤️

Lastly, Hope and Odin ran like champs!!! Hope even won the turnout award for the Stock Horse Sprint!!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

A few new faces around the farm as of recently.

Louis is a 2 year old APHA gelding. He is our new sales project and is as sweet as he is handsome.

Lance and his parents joined us last month and are hoping to try some Western Dressage!

Lastly, Maeve joined us to further her education and get her ready for her mom to ride. Shes a very unique looking girl and is a Knabstrupper/Irish Draft cross 😍

Team Black Smoke wrapped up our season at Western Dressage of Twin Tiers Classic Horse Show Series yesterday. It was an amazing summer for each of us with consistent growth!

One of my favorite things about Western Dressage is just how welcoming it is. There’s truly a place for every breed/type of horse, and for riders of all backgrounds and experience levels. If you've been on the fence about giving it a try, take the leap! It's such a fun way to get out there, improve your partnership and enjoy your horse 🤠

We are so lucky to have such an incredible WDAA rated series close to home!

A fantastic show weekend spent competing at the Chemung County Fair as a part of the Western Dressage of Twin Tiers Classic Horse Show Series . As always it was a wonderfully run show.

Poco Hopes Heidi and Val competed Western Basic 1 & 3 with fantastic results. Hopes balance and relaxation is really coming together in the arena 😍

Whatta Hunk and Hannah competed Western Intro 1 & 2. They made awesome improvements in their test from last month and keep building a stronger partnership together.

Valhalla Bound and Shannon tried their very first western test as well as Training 1. Their hard work and conditioning at home really shined and they had beautiful rides. It is quite a challenge to show both styles in one day!

Whatta Hunk and Samantha tried their hand at Intro A & B. Chunk looked absolutely dashing in his English get up with Samantha. It was the first time Samantha has tried a dressage show and they killed it!

Im so proud of the dedication at partnerships in our barn. Its so fun so see them shine when out and about 🌟
