Bay Animal Clinic offers modern medicine delivered with old-fashioned common sense and customer serv

We are a veterinary clinic and boarding facility located on the beautiful Eastern Shore. We offer state of the art technology, such as digital x-rays, laser surgery, chemotherapy, orthopedic surgery, and so much more. Although we aren't open 24 hours a day, we always have a vet on call that can be reached by calling our regular number. We also have a large boarding facility with an amazing kennel staff that will treat your pet like one of their own!

🌟 June Staff Spotlight! 🌟

This month’s spotlight shines on Shauna, one of our incredible Veterinary Assistants! Shauna has been a part of the Bay Animal team for the past 4½ years, and we are so grateful for her dedication and hard work.

We would also like to congratulate Shauna on earning her Master’s degree in Veterinary Medical Science from the University of Florida. An amazing accomplishment that reflects her passion for veterinary medicine.

Shauna consistently provides exceptional care and compassion to every animal that comes through our doors. We are proud to have her at Bay Animal Clinic. Join us in celebrating Shauna and helping us give her the recognition she deserves this June! 💙🐾

What do you love most about working with animals?
I enjoy that every day is different. I love helping animals through surgery, recovery, and routine care, and I especially enjoy earning the trust of anxious pets and helping owners feel reassured.

How many pets do you have?
3 golden retrievers, 1 goldendoodle, 1 treeing walker coonhound, 5 beagles

What’s your favorite dog breed or cat breed?
Golden retrievers

What inspired you to work in veterinary medicine?
I’ve always had a strong connection with animals, but what really inspired me to work in veterinary medicine was realizing how much of a difference good care can make for both pets and their owners. I love being able to help animals when they’re sick, scared, or in pain, and I enjoy the medical side of the field as well. It’s rewarding to be part of a team that improves an animal’s quality of life and supports the people who love them. I love being able to advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves.

Pet of the Week goes to Doogan and Trina! There was no debating this week, these adorable siblings completely stole our hearts. Not only are they absolutely precious, but they also did an amazing job during their yearly visit. We always love seeing these two sweet faces at the clinic! 🐾💕

Pet of the week goes to Mr. Tex! Just look at that contagious smile, he’s absolutely adorable. We’d also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Tex’s family, the Tuckers, for always thinking of the Bay Animal team. We truly appreciate all the thoughtful treats you all bring us, it never goes unnoticed! Thank you again from all of us at Bay Animal. 💕

Help us wish Lottie a Happy 1st Birthday! 🎉 It has been such an honor watching her grow from a playful puppy into the sweetest girl. 💕 We always love when Lottie and her sister, Doris, come to visit. They definitely make our day!!

Look at that adorable face! How can Fritzl not be pet of the week!

Fritzl stopped by the clinic today for his vaccines and handled it like a champ! 💉🐾
He was paw-sitively amazing and didn’t let those shots slow him down one bit. Brave, sweet, and always ready for some love—Fritzl definitely made our day a little brighter!

We can’t wait to see him again for more cuddles!

The Easter Bunny stopped by for a visit! 🐰 He hopped into the clinic for a quick checkup before the big Easter rush. After a full exam, we gave him a clean bill of health and sent him on his way with a few carrots for the road. 🥕

April Fools!

This is actually Blue. Believe it or not, he’s a dog! He’s just really good at disguises. Blue did come in for his annual exam, and he was amazing for it. We loved seeing this adorable “bunny” today! 💙

🌟Our Staff Spotlight for March goes to Riley! 🌟

Riley has been part of the Bay Animal team for 9 years, with her 10-year anniversary right around the corner. She is one of our amazing veterinary assistants who consistently goes above and beyond to give every pet the care they deserve. 🐾
We are incredibly lucky to have Riley on our team. She brings so much dedication, compassion, and positivity to Bay Animal Clinic. We truly wouldn’t be the same without her. Let’s give a big round of applause to Riley for all of her hard work and commitment! 👏💙

These adorable sisters stopped by for a little mani-pedi and couldn’t resist showing off their freshly done nails. We’re completely obsessed with these two and can’t wait for their next visit!
