We did it again! 💙🐾

Haven for Animals is proud to once again be recognized by Best Friends Animal Society for maintaining no-kill status in 2025!

Last year, 98.36% of the dogs and cats who entered The Haven’s care were saved—receiving the care, compassion, and second chance they deserved.

And we’re especially proud to celebrate this milestone alongside our longtime partners at the City of Fairhope - Municipal Government Animal Shelter, which also received recognition after achieving an outstanding 96.5% save rate in 2025.

For 26 years, The Haven and the City of Fairhope have worked together to improve outcomes for homeless pets in our community. But maintaining no-kill takes far more than two organizations. It takes adopters who open their homes, fosters who make room, volunteers who give their time, donors who make lifesaving care possible, community partners who step up, and people who continue to believe every healthy and treatable pet deserves a chance.

This recognition belongs to all of you.

This dog was found on N. Section Street and Gayfer Ave. in Fairhope on August 30, 2026, without a microchip or tags.

If this is your dog or you know the owner, please contact the City of Fairhope Animal Shelter immediately at 251-929-0354 or 251-929-3980.

To reclaim your pet, please bring:

• Government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)

• Proof of current rabies vaccination

• Redemption fee (check or money order payable to the City of Fairhope). Please contact the shelter for the current fee amount.

• Current City of Fairhope Pet License (required only for pet owners who reside within the Fairhope city limits)
