We hear this often, and we're glad when pets appear healthy! ❤️ The challenge is that pets are experts at hiding pain and illness.
An annual (or twice-yearly for senior pets) wellness exam helps us:
✅ Detect problems early before they become serious ✅ Monitor weight changes ✅ Check teeth and gums for dental disease ✅ Listen for heart murmurs or lung changes ✅ Evaluate joints, eyes, ears, and skin ✅ Discuss nutrition, behavior, and preventive care

Watch for signs such as:
❤️ Slowing down on walks
❤️ Difficulty getting up
❤️ Changes in appetite
❤️ Increased drinking or urination
❤️ Weight changes

Many age-related conditions can be managed successfully when caught early.

If your senior pet seems "not quite themselves," don't assume it's just old age.

Hometown Veterinary Care will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day as we honor and remember the brave men and women who served our country. ❤️🤍💙

We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th during our normal business hours:

If your pet needs immediate medical attention while we are closed, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.
