The Disaster Animal Response Team of Fairfield Bay is run By OEM and the Local Animal Control Officers. In event of a catostrophic incident, a team will go out during search and rescue for humans and look for pets as well. Any pet found will be taken to our Local Animal Shelter, there will be a temporary holding facility for animals in the disaster area. Animals will be tagged and house until owners are found. From there, if an animal/owner has lost their home, animals will be held until accomodations can be made. We believe that pets are family and they deserve the utmost in care and support in frightening times.

It's starting to get chilly out, while your wrapping and covering your plants let's think about our furry 4 legged friends as well.

If you have outside pets please be sure they have a dry warm place to sleep. Dog houses with hay are great for keeping the dog OR the cat warm during the winter months. Please be sure that the house has a good roof and a flap on the door.

Sheds and outside entrance basements also provide much needed warmth for outside animals!
