For Vet Tech Appreciation Week, we want to highlight our amazing Licensed Veterinary Technician, Nicole!
Nicole has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2014 and a part of the MVP family since 2023. She is an amazing technician, and we are very lucky to have her as part of our team.
Nicole is the head of our surgery department and provides outstanding patient care in all aspects. With her extensive experience in high-volume surgery centers, where a regular day meant getting 40–60 pets prepped and ready for surgery and recovered post-op, she brings a wealth of experience and skill to our team.
Not only is she is a very talented technician with excellent hands-on skills, such as blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiographs and intubation. She also has an extensive understanding of anesthetic protocols, medication use, and patient monitoring, helping ensure our patients receive safe, individualized care throughout their procedures. She is the ultimate patient advocate, making sure she and her surgery team provide the best care at every stage.
On top of all that, she excels at client communication! She ensures that clients are well-informed about their pets' care and answers any questions they may have during surgery check-in, at discharge, and in the days following the procedure, all with patience and understanding. Her cheerful, high-energy personality is unforgettable, and she brings an enthusiasm and positivity to every client interaction that so many of our clients have come to know and love!
Outside of MVP, she is just as amazing! She is involved with the Virginia Association of Licensed Veterinary Technicians (VALVT) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and she can be found using her skills to provide great patient care at her local animal shelter!
We hope you can join us in appreciating Nicole this week and anytime you see her around the clinic! Please feel free to let her know how amazing she is and thank her for the wonderful care she provides for your pets!
We love you Nicole! ❤️🐾
