Hi guys, it's Mo. This is going to be a personal post. I need some help.
I have a really hard time asking for help so I tend to try to take care of things on my own. I have been taking in cats from people who are desperate and who have tried everything else. I have also brought in a group of cats from desperate situations in Kuwait. In order to be saved and because the Kuwaity airport has been bombed, these cats had to travel a much harder road than normal to get to us. I didn't ask for fosters because I know everyone was dealing with going back to school etc. So I put them in my spare rooms at my house. Mama Rashida is also still at my house, waiting for her specialty appt. Gigi and Jojo are still here but they are ready for the lounge and will be going in today.
I have overloaded my plate. Both physically and mentally. Not only did I overload mine but I also overloaded my family's plate and own 3 dogs and 3 cats who are stressed out.
To top it all off, last weekend our hot water heater flooded our basement.
Something has to give. So I am asking for help.
I desperately need someone who will foster mama Rashida until we can get her ear surgery and she is recovered. She is so sweet but she is also still shy and needs some socializing.
Due to the stress of travel, a few of the Kuwaity cats developed small spots of ringworm. Two went to an amazing foster that I knew from my time in the military.
Murka and Punto are two shy cats that were personally rescued by the Spanish Ambassador's wife in Kuwait. She wrote the sweetest introduction letter for them and it breaks my heart that they haven't found their home yet. They stayed here because we didn't find a foster for them. They have completed their first round of meds, had a week off and will start their second round today. After their second week they will need a week of rest and then a third round of meds.
All three cats are also looking for their furrever homes so if you know of someone who is looking to adopt, that would be perfect.
