We will not have grooming or daycare services on Memorial Day. We will be open from 8am–10am for boarding drop-offs and pickups only!

We celebrated Stormy’s birthday at daycare today! 🎂🐾 Her parents brought treats for her to share, and she had the best time with all her friends 💖

Due to the snow and travel not being advised, Heartland Kennels will be closed today for daycare and grooming. ❄️

Our boarding dogs are still being cared for as usual. If you have a boarding dog coming or going today, you are still able to come—we just ask that you text or call ahead with the time you plan to arrive so we can meet you.

If you had a grooming appointment scheduled for today, we will be reaching out sometime today to reschedule.

‼️ Important update ‼️

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to adjust our weekend hours. Starting May 1st, Heartland Kennels will close at 12:00pm on Saturdays and will be closed on Sundays.

As a small family-owned business, we have spent many years dedicating our weekends to caring for the dogs that come through our doors. We truly love what we do and feel incredibly grateful for the trust you place in us. At the same time, we’ve realized it’s important for us to begin prioritizing time with family, our health, and having a day to rest. In order to continue providing the level of care your dogs deserve, we also need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves.

We understand this change may require some schedule adjustments, and we truly appreciate your understanding and continued support of our small business.

Please note:
• Saturday grooming appointments that require an after 12pm pickup will still run as usual, so no worries! The only difference is that payment will be taken at drop-off, and prompt pickup will be required once your dog is finished. Your groomer will reach out with at least a 15-minute notice before the groom is complete. They will then be waiting for pickup before heading out for the day, so we greatly appreciate your prompt arrival. If pickup is delayed, a late pickup fee may apply.
• Dogs staying with us for boarding will continue to be cared for by our staff as usual. The kennel will simply be closed to the public on Sundays.
