💛 WE DID IT — $15,000 FOR the COMMUNITY CATS FUNDRAISER 🐾

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every Pets Bring Joy supporter who helped us reach our $15,000 Community Cat fundraising goal!

This incredible milestone is about so much more than a dollar amount. It is about people coming together to protect and care for cats who are at risk.

Every day, members of the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) community pour their own time, energy, and personal resources into helping community cats. They trap cats in difficult circumstances, transport them to appointments, provide food and shelter, monitor colonies, advocate for their care, and often pay out of their own pockets. They do this because they believe every cat deserves a chance at a safe and healthy life.

Pets Bring Joy wants to be there for them. ❤️

This fundraiser allows PBJ to provide ongoing resources and assistance to the dedicated individuals doing this vital work! THANK YOU!

🖤🤍 MEET OREO — PROFESSIONAL SNUGGLER, WINDOW WATCHER & SNACK ENTHUSIAST! 🤍🖤
Oreo is a handsome 4½-year-old tuxedo boy who came to Pets Bring Joy in December 2025 after being found as a stray. Now he’s ready for the best chapter yet — a forever home of his own! 🏡🐾
Oreo is an absolute snuggle bug. Give him even the slightest incline and there’s a very good chance he’ll decide your chest is the perfect place for a nap. 😻 He’s generally a laid-back guy, but every so often… ZOOMIES! 💨

When he’s feeling playful, Oreo loves:
✨ Chasing a wand toy
🪟 Sitting by the window and carefully studying his “prey”
🐾 Practicing his hunting skills — he’s even been caught pouncing on a shadow! 😂
😴 Finding a brand-new favorite nap spot every week

And did we mention he’s friendly? ❤️ Within just one hour of arriving at his foster home, Oreo was already cuddling with two people he had never met before!
Oreo is also a certified foodie. 🍗😋 He’ll happily accept treats, but you may want to keep an eye on your own dinner plate — just saying!

This sweet, funny, affectionate boy has so much love to give. Oreo would LOVE to meet you! 🥰

Its Adoption Update Sunday and its been a very good week. This week we were able to see some of our super long term cats find forever homes and we couldn't be happier.

Ray and Harry came to us from Kuwait and had been with us a year and a half. They were shy enough that adopters were not willing to take a chance until Evelyn and her family came along. They love dogs and immediately bonded with the family dog. When Evelyn applied we did a virtual visit and then dropped them off for a several week trial. That's what it sometimes takes for a shy cat to get a chance at a home

Luke and Humus came to us two and a half years ago from the country of Jordan. Even though they are fabulous cats and great with their foster, they seemed to know that when adopters visited they should be at their worst, so that they didn't have to leave their wonderful foster home. That is until Kelly came along and we guess she got the seal of approval

Our other lucky cats may not have been long termers but they all are so deserving of permanent homes

“If you feed them, they will come.” 🐾

And that’s exactly why community cat caretakers matter. When a reliable food source is maintained, colony cats return to a safe, familiar place where they can be monitored, managed, and cared for. Not only does providing regular food, fresh water, and safe outdoor shelters help the cats survive harsh weather - managing cat colonies helps prevent disease via vaccinations and also reduces injuries by way of spay/neuter (lowering the natural urge to fight and stemming overpopulation)

What About Me Wednesday🐾💙

What about me?

It’s a question so many community cats might ask if they could speak for themselves.

This week, we want to remind our community that every cat matters—and the support we provide can completely change a cat’s life.

PBJ recently helped this sweet community cat who was suffering from bilateral entropion, a painful condition where the eyelids roll inward and rub against the cornea. Without treatment, this constant friction can lead to painful ulcers, infections, scarring, and even blindness.

Thankfully, this little one didn’t have to face it alone. ❤️

PBJ was able to provide the bilateral entropion surgery needed to relieve the painful irritation, protect the eyes, and give this community cat a much better chance at a comfortable, healthy life.

For an outdoor cat, something that might seem like a small medical issue can quickly become a serious, life-altering problem. Your support means we can step in when community cats need us most.

So this , please take a moment to think about the cats living just outside our doors. They may not have a home, but they deserve compassion, comfort, and care.

Help PBJ Reach $15,000 by September 20! 🐾❤️

In 2026, PBJ has been there for community cats when they’ve needed us most. From food and shelters to vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, wound care, dental treatments, ultrasounds, sedated mat shavings, and so much more, we’ve worked hard to give cats the care they deserve.

Behind every one of these cats is a dedicated TNR community—people who give their own time, money, and energy to help cats in need. PBJ is committed to being there for these incredible caregivers with the ongoing resources, medical care, and support they need to continue their lifesaving work.

Life as an outdoor cat is never easy. Every vaccine, surgery, treatment, meal, and safe shelter can make a difference—and give a cat a better chance at a healthier, safer life. 🐱

But we can’t do this alone.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 by September 20 so we can carry this important work into 2027. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue providing critical care and resources to community cats and the people fighting for them every day.
