Looking for some fun classes to do with your dog?
📣 MANNERS 101 CLASS- Starts NEXT THURSDAY, 7/23 @ 6:30pm
Does your dog pull you like a freight train on walks or jump all over your guests? Do they blow you off when you call them or try to steal food off your plate?
Whether your dog is a total beginner or just needs to brush up on some skills, you and your pup will build a stronger bond while learning together in a FUN and engaging way!
This course will be taught by certified professional trainer Brianne Boyd, CPDT-KA using positive reinforcement, science based training methods.
Skills covered in this class may include:
- loose leash walking (not pulling)
- coming when called
- polite greetings of people (not jumping)
- learning how to settle/relax around other dogs and people
- building focus & attention
- sit/down & stay and more!
**Dogs should be comfortable around people and not reactive to other dogs to join this class
⚠️ CLASS DETAILS & REGISTRATION:
- For dogs 6 months and older. All dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccines to attend. Proof of vaccines will be due before the start of class
- Limited to 6 spots
- Class is held indoors at the Tyrone Recreation Center - 145 Commerce Drive Tyrone, GA 30290
- Cost is $200 for 6 weeks. Each class is 1 hour, once a week

📣 SCENT WORK FOUNDATIONS CLASS (Level 1)- Two new classes!
1. Starts NEXT FRIDAY, 7/24 @ 6:30pm
2. Starts MONDAY, 7/27 @ 8pm
**For ALL dogs, no previous training requirements!!**
Scent work is an exciting activity you do with your dog that involves them using their amazing sense of smell. This can be for competition or just for a fun, enriching activity for your dog!
Scent work is FUN and has COUNTLESS benefits, such as:
✅ Working your dog's brain and will tire them out just as much (or more!) than physical exercise. It gives dogs a job and can reduce boredom-related or attention-seeking behaviors.
✅ Great for building confidence in shy or timid dogs and a great way to exercise high-drive or excitable dogs, too!
✅ Lowers heart rate and is naturally relaxing. Studies show regular nosework activities make dogs happier and less stressed.
✅ Great for nervous or reactive dogs!
Scent work is one of the fastest growing dog sports! Dogs are trained to locate a scent and alert their handler that they have found it. Q-tips are infused with essential oils like birch, anise or clove and hidden in indoor spaces, outdoor spaces, on vehicles and among various containers.
Scent work is based on the work of bomb and drug detection dogs in an environment that is accessible for dogs of ALL ages, sizes and breeds! There are NO previous training requirements.
🐶 This is a beginner scent work class (the first level) where your dog will learn how to play the game of scent work by searching for primary (food) while developing independence, problem solving skills, confidence and the drive to hunt!

- Cost is $185 for 6 weeks. Each class is 1hr & 15min, once a week
