As most of you know, K9 Splash Zone is our home facility and we photograph their events quite often. We are so lucky to be so close to a permanent facility, and we always recommend them to anyone looking to try out dog sports.

While I often recommend them from a photographer standpoint, this past weekend my brother and sister in law visited with their Australian Shepherd Milo. I just wanted to give K9SZ a shout out for how welcoming and supportive they were.

The gate steward Kay was so sweet and made them feel so welcome and at ease, and took her time to explain to them how everything works. She even made sure they got their fun run ribbon. The hunt master and everyone else was so nice to them, they really appreciated how great everyone was.

Milo did great and ran a 8 second / 27 mph run his first time! Once the bunny moved he didn't care about distractions, he went right to mom and had a lot of fun. He got to experience something he probably never would have if not for K9SZ. Not because he couldn't somewhere else, but because K9SZ is the type of place that makes new people feel comfortable enough to try it for the first time.

Absolutely for my friend Waylen the Mastiff! 💙

His mom and I both have some crazy dog sport schedules, but we happened to have one day where it would work out , so she traveled in from KY and we made it happen :)

He was a pro at diving for toys, and LOVED this new game!

Working on the last of his edits for his gallery, can't wait to share with his mom!

After binge watching all 8 seasons of Hudson & Rex, I am convinced German Shepherds are truly brilliant and "magnificent beasts" ;)

So I was super excited when my next client was an incredibly smart GSD named Blane 🙂

He made my job so easy, and we ended up with so many options I am having a really hard time picking the best shots.

We have VERY limited availability for fall portrait sessions this year, which hurts my heart a little bit as it is my favorite time of year to photograph. If you are thinking about booking this season reach out asap so we can get you on the calendar 🧡

The 2026 Dogtoberfest at Brandeberry Winery Image Gallery is now live!
We love being part of such a wonderful event every year that truly helps the shelter dogs in our community 💜

The turn out was a little smaller this year, but we appreciate each and every one of you who came out and showed your support!

We were able to raise over $200 for the Clark County Dog Shelter, and I know the dogs appreciate it, thank you!

Dogtoberfest 2026

Come out and enjoy Dogtoberfest with us tomorrow at Brandeberry Winery !

Our associate photographer will be offering fall mini sessions for only $25 per dog and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Clark County Dog Shelter !

Plus there will be tons of great vendors, raffles, a costume contest, and of coarse W**E! 🍷

I will be there in the afternoon after FastCAT, offering a special deal on private session gift certificates (the perfect holiday gift! ) and taking candids of all the adorable pups in their costumes! You guys absolutely BRING IT with the costumes so I can't wait to see what you have come up with this year!

Last Friday's lighting was so beautiful we were able to capture really nice beginning to end images of the CABT runs for the The Louisville Kennel Club, Inc. event by Time To Fly - Performance Dog Sports

We didn't have to worry about the sun ruining the shots, so these images tell the whole story of your dog's run, not just the best part of the course.

This also means we have LOTS of images! We are working on going through the last of them today and hope to have them to you by tomorrow morning! I promise they will be worth the wait!
