🦎 Muffin has been informed there's a NEW reptile store in town... and suddenly his adoption requirements include a shopping budget. 😂💚
Our favorite little dragon is still searching for his forever family, and if you've been waiting for a sign to enter your reptile-parent era, this might be it.
After coming into rescue in pretty rough shape, Muffin has made an incredible transformation. He's been cleared by the vet as a healthy, happy boy, his tail has healed, he's gained weight, and his personality has absolutely BLOSSOMED. 🥹
🐉 Life with Muffin includes:
☀️ Sunbathing like it's his full-time job
🤗 Lap snuggles & happily being handled
🛁 Warm baths featuring occasional pool-dancing performances
🌱 Supervised outdoor adventures on his leash
🛏️ Finding the softest towel or blanket available and requesting to be tucked in
🦗 Hunting his own bugs because tweezer service is beneath him
🥬 And—after some convincing—becoming a pretty darn good greens eater!
Muffin enjoys a varied, age-appropriate beardie diet with nutritious leafy greens and veggies alongside properly gut-loaded feeder insects such as Dubia roaches and crickets.🥬🦗
Proper nutrition, calcium supplementation, UVB lighting, temperatures, and habitat setup are all incredibly important for keeping a bearded dragon healthy—which is especially important to us after everything Muffin overcame before coming into rescue.
And Fairbanks reptile lovers have something else to be excited about—Northern Exotics is now in town! 🎉🦎 We LOVE seeing another local resource available for our reptile community.
Muffin would make a wonderfully interactive companion for the right family and could even thrive in a classroom environment with an experienced, dedicated caretaker and the proper setup.
His fosters have admittedly spoiled him a tiny bit, so he'll even head home with a goody bag of some of his favorite things. 😂💚
Basically...
You adopt the dragon.
You become strangely invested in buying salad and bugs.
Muffin lives his best life.
Everybody wins. 🐉😂
