Meet Liz!

With over 27 years of experience as a veterinary technician, Liz brings so much knowledge, compassion, and dedication to our team. She is passionate about providing comforting care to her patients and loves helping clients feel informed and supported in their pets’ health.

Liz also has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and is a strong advocate for the important role oral health plays in overall wellness.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, as well as reading, hiking, and watching movies.

We’re so happy to have Liz as part of the Fair Oaks Pet Hospital team.

Justine has loved animals from a very young age, and that passion led her to a career in veterinary medicine. Since 2017, she’s continued growing her skills while helping support great patient care, client education, and teamwork.

Now living in Fair Oaks with her husband, young son, and cat Draco, Justine is a valued part of our team—and we’re so happy to have her.

A spay is a common surgery — but that does not mean it is a “simple” day for your pet.

There is a lot that happens before, during, and after surgery to help keep each patient as safe, comfortable, and supported as possible.

At Fair Oaks Pet Hospital, our surgery process includes a pre-anesthetic exam, bloodwork before anesthesia, an individualized anesthesia plan, pre-medication for stress reduction and pain control, anti-nausea medication, IV catheter placement, IV fluids, intubation, advanced monitoring, careful recovery monitoring, and detailed discharge instructions for going home.

While patients are under anesthesia, we also trim their nails, and we often recommend placing a microchip at the same time if they do not already have one.

We also talk through activity restriction, pain medications, sedatives if needed, and any recommended rechecks so you know exactly what to expect after surgery.

We know surgery can feel stressful as a pet owner. Our goal is to make the process feel clear, thoughtful, and as safe as possible for your pet from beginning to end.

Because even routine surgeries deserve high-quality care. 🐾

Meet Tressa!
Tressa brings 23 years of veterinary experience to our team, having worked as both a receptionist and assistant throughout her career. She loves helping pets and their people and has a special passion for emergency medicine, where teamwork and quick thinking matter most.

At home, she stays busy with her husband, six-year-old son, and three dogs. Outside of work, you’ll often find her competing in agility and dock diving, kayaking or paddle boarding with her family and pups, or creating beautiful handmade leashes and collars through her business.

We’re so happy to have Tressa as part of our team!

Our staff said, “What if we did Pup Cup Fridays?”

And honestly… this is exactly the kind of peer pressure we support. 🐾🍦

Grab one during your Friday appointment or stop by for a happy visit.

We can’t wait to see who becomes a regular. 😄

Almost exactly a year ago, Fair Oaks Pet Hospital was still an empty construction site. Now it’s a space where we get to care for pets, support their people, and work every day creating the kind of hospital we dreamed about.

Seeing the before and after is such a reminder of how far we’ve come in one year — and we’re so grateful for everyone who’s been part of it. 🤍

Found a tick? Remove it carefully — and make sure prevention is on board. If you are not comfortable removing it yourself or do not have the right tools, see your veterinarian, since it is important to remove the whole tick. We recommend year-round flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for all pets. It’s been an especially bad flea/tick season, and we’ve been seeing more tick-borne diseases like Lyme and Anaplasma. If your pet has been exposed to ticks, talk to your veterinarian about tick-borne disease testing and prevention.
