An Arizona man had one goal this summer: keep his dog off the burning sidewalk, no matter what it took.
So he grabbed the one thing he had on hand and turned it into a rescue mission.
People spotted the pair rolling down the street. The dog was sitting comfortably inside a wheeled cooler, being towed along like a passenger in his own private ride, while his paws stayed safely off the ground.
Arizona pavement can reach up to 180 degrees in summer, and vets warn that anything over 125 degrees can cause third degree burns to a dog's paw pads within seconds.
This owner wasn't being extra. He was preventing a real injury, and he did it with whatever he had nearby.
The moment has since gone viral, and it is pushing owners everywhere to rethink their summer walks.
