***** UPDATE

Hooray! The plow has come!
We will be open tomorrow, Thursday from 9-5:30, appointments from 9-1.

We are so sorry for the delays, we hope all understand the difficulties we have faced this week. Our plow company has done an outstanding job during every other storm this year and last, and we deeply appreciate their hard work!

Meanwhile… we know that some of our staff and clients are still waiting for plows and some still have no power.

Here are some tips for caring for your dogs during this difficult time:

-Some dogs are becoming constipated! Add extra water to every meal, and a little bit of coconut oil or olive oil, (1/8 tsp for the minis, 1/4 tsp for each 20 lbs)

-Make a potty area: Shovel an area just off whatever walking path you have so far…. At least 4X4 ft square if possible. When they finally go, praise like crazy!

-After walking on salted roadways,be sure to rinse their feet in lukewarm water.

- if you have or can get a paw balm, such as “mushers secret” apply before walks on salty streets. A light coating of petroleum jelly or coconut oil may help, but be sure to rinse and wipe after the walk.

-Please extremely careful when walking dogs on the narrow snowbank-lined streets. Wear bright clothing and good boots, and take no risks. **Several years ago, one of our beloved clients slipped and fell, right as a snowplow came around the corner. Fortunately, it was able to stop in time, but she broke her arm and her dogs got loose.

For the cabin fever: Play hide and seek with a favorite toy in your house, or catch!

Unfortunately, the clinic will remain closed until plows can get to it, and all of our staff’s homes. We will do our best to check our phones for messages, and will reschedule everyone as soon as we are able to!
Please share your photos of the animals that you care for, we know that it’s tough for everyone.
Wishing the best to all!

Unfortunately, we will be closed again, this Monday, February 23, due to the weather.
We hope to be able to open on Tuesday morning, but that will depend on whether the snow has been adequately cleared. Thank you for your patience, and please stay safe!

This photo is from 2022, and looks like what we are anticipating for Monday, once the snowstorm finally ends. At this time, we are planning to remain closed for Monday 1/26/26, to allow for proper snow removal and safe travel for all.

In the event of an urgent emergency that requires immediate care, please contact one of our local urgent care providers, as listed on our website:
https://wolfrockanimals.com/links/

Our staff will be managing phone calls remotely, so if you need to reach us, please call! We will do our best to help with remote care. If you can not get through, it would be due to a power outage.

We look forward to the snow being cleared and being back in the office as soon as possible!
Stay safe and keep those paws warm! ☃️🐾🐾❤️
