Two Zara puppies have snatched some new ribbons this weekend!

HR Money's Man of the Cloth SH ('24 Zara x Mason) - Achieved his Hunting Retriever (HR) title and is close to achieving his Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title and will be running a double Master Hunter test this November!

Nocciola La Escalatrice RatI RatN SD1 DJ SWN ('24 Zara x Mason) - nabbed a high in class for her first Open Barnhunt Q! And then she closed out the dock diving season with a 15.34 second hydrodash time and was awarded 1st place Topaz Hard Charger award for the season!

The Avengers turned 9 weeks old today! These guys have been rocking crate training and potty training, and have of course begun to learn the ways of being inside the house.

Training is going well too, learning sit, down, wait, and touch along with harder "classtime" where I am sitting, teaching them that just because food is in reach does NOT mean it can be theirs, preventing behaviors like countersurfing and teaching how to be respectful around plates of food/snacks.

I'm hoping to get them out in a store next week to begin some major socialization training.

Maggie goes home this weekend and Banner is currently on hold, but Tony remains available!

Puppy weights for the Avengers! They were also microchipped and given their final dose of dewormer before they all start heading off to their new homes! ❤️

And no, that is not a typo for Captain. He really is 4 pounds heavier than the next biggest puppy 😮

The Avengers are in class!

"Classtime" has very simple rules: sit paitently, and you will get a treat once it's your turn. I like teaching this first because it builds focus, paitence, and manners (don't jump on me or bark at me for food/attention) with just one fun and easy game.

This is also the beginning of teaching these guys to stand still and paitent when another dog is doing something fun/getting something they want, which can really help in multi-dog households as well as out in the field, when dogs need to honor other hunting dogs.
