POV: your dog is trained to tell you when to sit down 🐾
This is a 3 step service task chain we’re building for real-life regulation and communication, not just at home.
1 Double Time
She circles me while I walk. The patterned movement helps interrupt spiraling, keeps me oriented, and can create space or set up an exit if needed.
2 Embrace
Leg hug. This is her trained cue for me to sit and pause.
3 Lap
Once I sit, she settles on my lap for sustained deep pressure.
Why this matters: the same chain can be used proactively or in the moment, and it gives my dog a clear way to communicate “sit now.” It can support things like panic or anxiety symptoms, overstimulation, lightheadedness, or blood sugar swings when stopping and sitting safely matters.
Training goal: clear criteria, consistent reps, reliable communication.
Save if you’re training a service dog or learning about task chains.
