Hey everyone ❤️
So many of you have reached out over the last few days asking how you can help our family during these incredibly difficult next few weeks. First, we just want to say how much that means to us. Every message, prayer, kind word, and offer of support has been felt and appreciated more than we can put into words.
We’ve decided to share our Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle for anyone who has been asking for a way to help.
I had planned to continue working for a few more weeks, but with everything that has happened, work—and therefore our income—has had to come to an unexpected stop.
Alexis underwent an emergency C-section and hysterectomy after suffering a massive hemorrhage. Her recovery has been difficult, and unfortunately, there are still complications we are navigating. At the same time, our baby boy remains in NICU in Seattle, while our home and the rest of our kiddos are in Everett.
Right now, that means making the trip back and forth to Seattle multiple times a day so we can be with him, and bring him his mama’s milk. Those drives take a toll on all of us, but especially on Alexis, whose body is still trying to recover from major surgery, significant blood loss, and everything she has endured. Long car rides are very painful for her.
One of the biggest things we are hoping to do is raise enough to stay in a hotel near the hospital a few nights each week until we can finally bring our little boy home. Being nearby would mean fewer long, painful car rides for Alexis and, most importantly, more precious hours where a mama can simply sit beside her baby, hold him, feed him, and be there with him while he gets strong enough to come home. ❤️
If you feel led to help, that is where the money would go—helping keep our family close to our baby during a time when being together means more than anything.
There is absolutely no pressure to give. Sharing this post, keeping our little boy and Alexis in your thoughts or prayers, or simply continuing to check in on us means so much, too.
To everyone who has already reached out, offered help, brought comfort, or reminded us that we aren’t going through this alone: thank you. We appreciate you more than you know.
We’re just taking this one day at a time and looking forward to the day we can finally bring our baby boy home. ❤️
