Session #2 with Princess (a little late posting this one)
During this session, we focused on providing appropriate outlets for fulfillment and enrichment to help support Princess’s high energy and drive. We also enjoyed a long structured walk, where she did an excellent job working through engagement and focus.
Her owner also reported noticeable improvement in the interactions between Princess and her older sister since beginning training. Princess is making great progress, and we’re excited to continue building on her success.

Final Session for Mr. Auto 🐾

Auto began his training journey as an anxious and reactive dog, often barking and lunging at passing cars, showing reactivity toward unfamiliar people, and displaying some resource guarding behaviors. While he still has room to continue growing, his progress has been great! 🌟

During today’s final session, Auto explored a brand-new environment—an ideal setting to put his skills to the test. He encountered a wide range of real-world triggers, including passing cars, pedestrians, cyclists, skateboarders, and even a runner.

Auto rose to the challenge beautifully. He demonstrated strong engagement by checking in with dad and maintaining focus throughout the walk well. Notably, he handled passing cars with significant improvement, remaining composed for the majority and only reacting minimally a couple of times. He also showed no barking or lunging toward people, especially the runner.

Auto’s progress is something to be proud of, and it has been a pleasure working with him every step of the way.

Thank you for trusting S.S.S Paws Training, LLC with his training journey! 🐾

Session #1 with Miss Nova 🐾
Took a trip out to Jasper to meet Miss Nova last weekend. She has been showing some beginning signs to resource guarding, anxiety, and dog an leash reactivity.
Nova started the session off a bit fearful but soon warmed up with some good treats to build positive association to me and the trusty slip leash.
Miss Nova aims to please showing mom just how smart she can be. She was very driven and treat motivated. With some simple communication and positive reinforcement Nova was able to focus on mom and not go crazy barking at the strangers going by. She was so driven for the special treats and positive praise she even remained in a heal for most of her walk checking in to mom regularly like she had been doing it her whole life, working as hard as she could for that next reward.
It was a pleasure to work with Miss Nova and I can't wait to see her progress continue 🌟

🐾 Session #3 with Mr. Auto 🐾
After taking a little pause in training, this session was all about reconnecting, reviewing, and building back momentum! Mr. Auto was motivated an ready to work, so we focused on strengthening the foundations that help him succeed.
We revisited focus skills and worked on reinforcing engagement with his family, helping him tune in despite distractions and channel his energy in productive ways. For a smart, high-energy boy like Auto, those skills are key.
We also spent time discussing mental stimulation and enrichment tailored to meet the needs of his breed and personality. Providing appropriate outlets for both physical and mental energy will continue to play a big role in his success.
Another important part of Autos session was reviewing socialization in a way that best fits Auto and his family’s lifestyle—building confidence through thoughtful, positive exposure rather than a one-size-fits-all approach
Auto picked things back up nicely, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow. Great work, Mr. Auto! 🐾💙

Session #1 with Princess 👑
Miss Princess has been a bit of a bully to her little big sister who is an old and blind yorkie, as well as showing increased reactivity at the fence due to people walking by, taunting her and being disrespectful.

🐾During this session, we introduced foundational communication using a slip leash, both indoors and in her yard. We also began building engagement through focus exercises and discussed appropriate enrichment and fulfillment strategies to meet the needs of a driven breed like Princess.

Princess was highly motivated and a pleasure to work with! One of her known triggers who she reacts over just happen to walk by during training an she was able to show mom just how focused an well behaved she can be. 🌟 She did wonderful for her first session and I can't wait to see her progress continue.✨

💔 It’s with a very heavy heart that we share the passing of sweet Mr. Hazard. 💔😭

Hazard was such a gentle soul with so much love to give, and he brought joy to everyone he met. Freebie Tuesday just won’t be the same without him.

After a sudden medical emergency, his family rushed him in for care. Despite everyone’s best efforts, it was discovered he was suffering from pancreatitis and internal bleeding. Thanks to his mom’s quick thinking and love for him, he was able to pass peacefully and without further suffering.

We are so grateful to have known and loved this special boy. He will be deeply missed by all of us.

Run free, Mr. Hazard. 🌈🐾

Sunday Funday with Nona 🐾

Today was a big day for Nona, filled with new experiences and great progress! She visited a friend’s home where she safely met chickens for the very first time and explored a brand-new environment with confidence.

We wrapped up the day at the park, where we focused on a distance and distraction “stay” while my kids played nearby. Nona did an amazing job holding her position until released—despite the tempting distractions!

She even showed impressive self-control by resisting the urge to give a few teens her signature “TSA” (Thorough Sniff Assessment 😂) for playing with her kids.

I couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come. Moments like these are what consistent training and trust-building are all about. 💛

Session #1 with Ace & Coby 🐾

We kicked things off with two very good boys today!

✨ Ace is just getting started with his puppy basics, and he’s already off to an amazing start. He learned “sit” and was happily offering it on his own for treats by the end of the session—great engagement for such a young pup! We also introduced leash desensitization and began helping him understand how to move comfortably with it. His family is doing a great job building a strong foundation at home, and we discussed enrichment ideas to support his growing mind and energy.

🐶 Coby may already be a good boy, but he’s got a bit of a reputation as an escape artist—so it’s back to basics for him! We’re focusing on improving leash skills and finding positive outlets to keep him mentally and physically fulfilled. With the right structure and consistency, he’s on track for success.

Looking forward to watching both of these guys continue to grow! 💪🐕
