More About Our Mission Statement:

At Highland Veterinary Clinic, our motto is "compassionate, innovative, acces

sible care for pets, families and our community" because it is our belief that our foundation of excellence and tradition of quality speaks for itself, yet our mission has set us apart in service to the human & animal bond in the Evansville, Indiana area. We have achieved this legacy by building solid patient/doctor relationships with our patients and their human guardians for decades. Innovative: Our veterinary medical services emphasize preventative health care designed for each stage of life. We provide expedient but accurate diagnostics relying on the excellence of our experienced diagnosticians, access to specialists when needed, and integrative therapeutic treatments for medical conditions--enhancing our pets' quality of life and longevity. Compassionate and Accessible: We operate under the belief that companion animals are family members. We understand that each family and each pet's needs are unique. Treatments or plans which may be medically applicable, physically, or philosophically feasible for some, is not applicable or is less feasible for others. While we do not compromise the quality of our medicine, we do help clients reach accessible decisions which provide the best possible treatment, preventative medicine, or outcome within the reach of our pet patient's families, given their unique emotional, philosophical, and economic needs, acting always as the patient's advocate in service to the human/animal bond. At this site, you will find information about our practice philosophy, our services, and a helpful introduction to our facility. If you are already part of our pet care community, you'll find relevant information, your PetSite Portal, tools, and helpful forms to assist you as your pet's guardian. tip for Happy Healthy Cat Month: Monitor litter boxes daily!
Cats typically urinate 2-4 times a day. Frequent visits to the litter box, inappropriate elimination, urinating much more or less than usual can all be signs of an emergency.
Urinary blockages can become dangerous within the first 24 hours. Signs include:
💛 Crying in the litter box
💛 Frequent trips to the litter box with little to no output
💛 Straining to p*e
💛 Going outside the box
Call your veterinarian or emergency clinic ASAP if you notice these signs.

Remember Rebel, the under-furred ferret who needed an adrenal implant? His mom just sent us the most glorious, plush update! Rebel is looking good with brighter eyes and a fluffier coat these days.

It has been so rewarding for Dr. G and staff to witness and take part in the advancements that have improved both quality and quantity of our pets' years over the past 4 decades in practice.
