🦎🐰 EXCITING NEWS, PET PARENTS! 🐹🦜

We’re expanding our care! Starting in November, East Side Animal Hospital will begin seeing exotic pets! 🎉

We’ve recognized a growing need in our community for exotic pet care, and we’re excited to expand our services to help meet that need! Whether you have a rabbit, guinea pig, reptile, bird, or another unique companion, we look forward to welcoming even more members of your furry, feathered, and scaly family. 🐾

📅 Appointments will begin in November. If you'd like to get on our waiting list, please call 812-477-3826 and we will get you added!

We can’t wait to meet your extraordinary pets and provide them with the compassionate care they deserve.

More species, more care, same commitment to your pets! 💜

ALWAYS....ALWAYS ask to see dogs in the "Get Acquainted Room" or outside. The shelter/kennel environment is loud and traumatic for so many of them. Ask to meet them out of the kennel area so that you can see the real them.🥹💕🐕

I highly recommend against it though....unless we get to see the takedown reels🤷‍♀️🤣

LOOKING FOR PET SITTERS!!!🐕💕🐈

Okay, friends! We continue to work on our resource board at Canine Aquatic Center so that when pet owners ask us questions we can send them in the right direction. Tell me about your pet sitters or if you are one tell me about your services. Do you have limits on the number of pets? Are you pet specific or do you see all types? What areas do you cover? Do you stay in the home or do you go to the home several times a day? How does yours work? My big question is who is comfortable working with dogs with special needs?? Because of the work we do here we have a lot of dogs that require a little extra care. Of the 75 dogs we saw last week 26 of them are spinal cord injuries in various stages of recovery with various means of mobility. Some need to have their bladders expressed, some require harness assistance for mobility and some are in wheelchairs. Some are recovering from surgeries. Some require medications or special food, several are tri-pawds, etc. Dog parents are always asking us if we know someone who has or can deal with some of these situations.

Let us know you are out there! I, as well as our CAC business page, try to follow as many of you as we can but know there are many others out there. Respond to this post, private message me or message our Canine Aquatic Center page or even better stop by the clinic and leave us pamphlets or business cards. to add to our resource board. We want to hear from you!!😊 Thanks so much!!!💕🐕🌊

There has been a huge rise in raccoons affected with the Distemper virus!

🦝 🐾🦝🐾🦝🐾

The public health alerts about rising distemper among raccoons refer specifically to canine distemper virus (CDV).

Make sure that your dogs and puppies are up to date on their core vaccinations!!

If you see a sick raccoon, call you local animal control or DNR office right away and submit a report on your State's DNR website.
