Some moments in this hobby are truly awesome. ❤️🐍

Saturday at Texas CarpetFest, just as we were about to leave, I got to meet Jorden Perrett, who originally discovered the Blue Borregos in the wild in California!

When I mentioned the Blue Borregos, his face lit up as he shared photos and stories from his first encounters with them in Anza-Borrego. We also talked Carpets, Australia, and my upcoming trip, and he offered to help with information as I plan my adventure.

Our Anery Blue Borrego Rosy Boa, Celeste, represents a locality that’s near and dear to my heart. The Blue Borregos first opened my eyes to the importance of localities and helped shape my passion for building a locality-focused collection.

Getting to hear those stories firsthand from the person who discovered them was an incredible experience and a memory I’ll always cherish. Thank you, Jorden, for sharing your stories and knowledge!
