A couple months ago HRCH Bram’s Benelli Google Search MH “Sitka” qualified for the AKC Master National in Oregon. I told Linette immediately that I had to go watch. When Nelli had her first litter this was my dream to title one of her pups. I never dreamt at that time it would bring me to the beautiful state of Oregon….but here we are!!! We were fortunate enough to see Sitka compete in all 5 series and go on to Pass his first Master National as a 3y/o. Thank you to Clay and Jaclyn for taking such good care of him and getting him to this point!!!! We are going to keep rolling with Sitka he has a lot more to give and absolutely loves his job!!!

When I decided to keep Bram’s Google Search “Sitka” as a puppy out of Nelli’s first litter, I had one goal. My goal was to see him to a Hunting Retriever title. I’m very proud to introduce: HRCH Bram’s Google Search MH!!! He not only earned his Hunter Retriever Champion title through the UKC he also went on to get his Master Hunter title through AKC. With these two titles he has punched his ticket to the HRC Grand in St. Louis in September but also will be competing in the Master Nationals in Oregon in October. Special thank you to Three D Retievers and Rob DeHaven for starting this adventure and Cypress Creek Retrievers and Clay Owens for seeing my vision/goal through.
WE ARE NOT DONE YET👊👊
KEEP ROLLING

Another bitter sweet weekend here at Sunset Hunting Labs!! 4 puppies went to their forever homes/families. We are so blessed to see them go to such great families. New friends have been made and can’t wait to see these pups progress. Special Thanks to Matthew Speed with West Elgin Retriever’s for taking us international 🇨🇦 and making the long trip down to take Indy to Ontario Canada!!
We sure will miss them!!

Today is such a bittersweet day!! Puppies started going to their forever homes and families. Bitter: We have spent countless hours with these little rascals that makes it super hard to see them go. Sweet: getting to make so many new friends and seeing the joy in their eyes!!! I am very picky and have no problem telling someone they are not the right person for one of our pups. This litter is going to the best new people!! Today 2 went local and one went to West Virginia. Aren’t they precious? Excited to see where they are going!!!

We couldn’t be more proud of Nelli’s first litter of pups.

This is Sitka out of Nelli’s first litter. To most this means nothing, but in the retriever competition world this is huge. Dogs naturally want to cheat to dry land, it’s easier to run on dry land then running through the water or swimming. In competition they want to see a dog that doesn’t cheat and hold their line. He did an excellent job holding that line.
