✨ Who doesn't love a good BEFORE & AFTER?! ✨

You know you've officially reached adulthood when a new vacuum cleaner or a freshly organized space brings you an unreasonable amount of excitement. Well, that's exactly how we're feeling after giving our Memorial Dog Park and a few other spots around the property a much needed facelift!

Our amazing Health & Wellness Team has spent the last several weeks working tirelessly to bring some new life and color to areas around the property that needed a little extra TLC. 🌸

Not only do we now have some beautiful new spots to capture photos of you and your dogs, but we've also created a peaceful space for our clients to enjoy when visiting our Memorial Dog Park.

And the best part? 🦋 The butterflies are already showing up! We've spotted quite a few fluttering around, which makes all that hard work even more rewarding!

Now, enjoy these before-and-after pictures because we know we're not the only adults who get excited about a good makeover! 😂

Today we decided to give a mini Halloween photoshoot a try! 🎃👻🐾

Was it a little chaotic at times? Absolutely! 😂 But the dogs had fun ♥️

A big thank you to Daisy, Clauson, Ruby, and Piper for being our little models and letting us practice on them! 🥰 We think they did a pretty great job!

🍂 Pumpkin Pickin’ Vibes! 🍂
Monday was all about picking the perfect pumpkins! We headed out to grab pumpkins for our staff members who are joining in on this year’s Pumpkin Decorating Contest! 🎨🎃

We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! Our staff has been awfully secretive about their decorating plans, so we’re expecting some pretty creative masterpieces! 👀

And don’t forget, our clients are invited to join in on the fun, too! We’d love to see your creativity!

🎃 Pumpkin Drop-Off: October 17–21
🗳️ Voting: October 21–25

Let the pumpkin decorating competition begin! May the best pumpkin win! 🏆🎃

🍎 Bobbing for Apples with Clauson! 🐾

Clauson is one of our frequent visitors! ❤️ Being a brachycephalic (flat-faced) breed, the Florida heat can be tough on him! ☀️ Our Sports & Add-Ons Department is always finding fun, creative ways to keep him cool while giving his brain a little workout! 🧠💦

🐾 Week 2 is complete!

Rain or shine, the training doesn’t stop! 🌧️

This past week, our AdventHealth teams focused on bite work and obedience, even through the rainy weather!

The class also headed off site to Habitat for Humanity, where they worked on environmental exposure and odor detection in a new setting.

Another great week of building skills, confidence, and teamwork between handlers and their K-9 partners!

🎉 Happy 4-Year Anniversary, Chalen! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating four years with our Special Projects Manager, Chalen Godwin! Chalen’s passion for dog training began at just 12 years old with his beagle, Bolt, and eventually led to an incredible career in both K-9 training and law enforcement. From serving on the Florida Department of Corrections Bloodhound Team to spending 23 years with the DeLand Police Department as a Sergeant, K-9 handler and trainer, SWAT team member, hostage negotiator, and more, Chalen brings decades of knowledge and experience to CFK9. Today, he oversees our Special Projects program, helping train and uphold both government and civilian contracts. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Chalen brings to our team! 🐾💙

🎉 Help us celebrate our Employee of the Quarter, Delaney, from our Food Room Department! 🐾👏

Delaney’s hard work and dedication never go unnoticed. We truly appreciate everything she does to support our team and help make sure the dogs in our care are happy and well cared for. ❤️

We’re lucky to have you on the CFK9 team, Delaney! Congratulations on this well deserved recognition! 🎉👏

Last week we went around handing out a few pumpkin whipped cream pup cups to help welcome October… and the reviews were definitely 50/50. 😂

Some licked up EVERY last bit… while others took one sniff and said, “Absolutely not.” 🤣

Apparently pumpkin flavored everything isn’t just controversial with humans…it’s not for every dog either! 🤔

Which team is your dog on: Team Pumpkin 🎃 or Team NOPE? 👇

🌸🐾 Our Health & Wellness Department has been hard at work the past three weeks!🌿

They’ve been busy with some gardening projects around CFK9, including a special memorial garden in one of our dog parks. ♥️

Of course, our four-legged supervisors have been making their daily morning rounds to inspect the progress and make sure everything is meeting their VERY high expectations. 🐾

Don’t mind Thessi, though… she doesn’t take her supervisory duties quite as seriously as the others. She’s too busy making faces! 🤪

We can’t wait to share the before-and-after pictures with you all soon! Stay tuned! 🌼
