๐ŸŠ Jaune Flammรฉ is often our first tomato to ripen up in Floridaโ€™s warm, humid spring season.

๐ŸŒฟ These fast growing, indeterminate vines drip with glowing orange clusters that sit in that sweet spot between cherry and slicer.

โ˜€๏ธ The famous 'Yellow Flame' Tomato carries an unforgettable, bright, sunny sweetness with real depth and balance.

๐Ÿ† This is one of the earliest, most reliable harvests we receive before disease pressure and flower melting temperatures arrive.

๐Ÿ‘€ Find LOCAL, Florida-Grown SEEDS to plant NOW at seedthestars.etsy.com ๐Ÿต๏ธ May brings both the harvests of spring crops and many unique crop options for summer planting in Central Florida.

๐ŸŒžSpecific Heat-loving subtropical and tropical crops can be seeded and/or transplanted to take advantage of the warming weather.

๐Ÿ’งMuch of Central Florida continues to experience extreme drought conditions, so it's important to stay on top of your gardenโ€™s watering needs. Water early in the morning, giving extra attention to seedlings and new transplants to help them get established. Apply mulch to suppress weeds, insulate the soil, and retain valuable moisture.

๐Ÿ‘€ Find LOCAL, Florida-Grown SEEDS to plant NOW at seedthestars.etsy.com ๐ŸŒบ April in Central Florida is a great time to plant tropical perennials, fruit trees, and focus on seeding known heat loving annuals!

๐Ÿฅฌ You can still get away with planting large/mature transplants of certain FL spring/cool season crops, BUT you will want to make sure to plant specific crops & varieties that have more heat tolerance to increase your success as temperatures start to climb.

๐Ÿ› April in Central Florida also typically brings hot & dry weather that can cause plant stress, which increases chances of pests and plant diseases. Make sure to routinely check your plants for signs/symptoms and keep young plants well watered.

๐Ÿ˜Ž Growing any of your heat sensitive plants in partial sun, under shade cloth, or in pots to easily transport them out of full sun can also help extend their growing season.

๐ŸŒฑ Looking to try growing something new this season that can take the Florida heat? Check out our heat tolerant Florida grown seed crops like tropical spinaches, pumpkins, luffa, snake gourd, okra, and multiple varieties of Roselle at seedthestars.etsy.com.

๐Ÿซ˜ Find these Florida-Grown Seeds at seedthestars.etsy.com ๐Ÿ† Meet Mini Paulista: the summer squash alternative that SHINES through summer in the Southeast!

๐Ÿ€ Got that summertime sadness? Mini Paulista dances through the heat! Pick young, pale green, zucchini-like fruit for tender, buttery bites long after summer squash plants have tapped out, or let them grow into a rich, stash-worthy winter squash.

๐Ÿ’ซ Harvested last summer from seeds we direct-sowed in March, we originally sourced this Cucurbita moschata variety from in Virginia where they research and breed seeds for real-world Southern resilience & seed sovereignty.

๐ŸŒฑ These open-pollinated seeds and their offspring are open source, free from patents, and will grow true to type if isolated, under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI) pledge, which ensures seeds remain free from corporate monopolies.
