We couldn't close out the week without giving you more pics of our adorable newbie, Hawthorn. He is the sweetest, funniest kitten! And while he looks calm and serene in these pictures, trust us, he gets the zoomies with the greatest of kitten energy! Enjoy and may your weekend be restful after the zoomies of your week. www.TheFeralFarmhouse.com

Well, over the weekend this happened. Everyone, meet Hawthorn, the newest (and littlest) member of The Feral Farmhouse clowder family. I was alerted to his existence when I went to feed the Red Shed Cats. I heard him yelling his tiny head off from back in the bushes. He gave us quite the merry chase, but with some patience and me yelling back in my best momma cat imitation until he felt more comfortable approaching me, we were eventually able to corner him and I scruffed the little bu**er. From that point, he imprinted on me and it was mutual. I mean, how could it not be? Just look at him!!! As a side note, yes, we have looked for a momma cat and other kittens and we've been listening for any other plaintive cries coming from anywhere nearby. Nada, zilch, absolutely nothing. It's like he just materialized, and around here, that's not unusual. We typically get a single kitten nearly every year in pretty much the same manner. Somebody could be dumping them here, knowing we'll take care of them, or perhaps they're just wandering way too far from home. No one ever comes looking for them and I suppose this is just what we're here for. There are definitely worse things to have to deal with. Again, just look at him!!! www.TheFeralFarmhouse.com
