Meet Shasta, our September star of the month! 🐾💛
This adventurous pup is a fierce protector with a wild side and is always ready to defend her family!

✨ Favorite Snack:
Peanut butter — a classic treat! 🥜😋

✨ Favorite Activity:
Chasing mountain lions and protecting her family! 🦁👀

✨ Naughtiest Tendency:
Jumping the fence and keeping everyone on their toes! 😅🐾

✨ Staff Comments:
We met Shasta after she had a run in with a mountain lion. Not only is she a fierce protector of her family , but also an amazingly sweet lady who has been a delight to care for. We love you Shasta!

Our pets can be experts at hiding pain, which is why subtle changes in their behavior can be important clues. 🐶🐱

Keep an eye out for signs such as:
- Limping or stiffness

- Reluctance to play or exercise
- Increased irritability or withdrawal
- Excessive licking of a particular area

August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month—which means it's the perfect time to help your furry friends stay comfortable all month long!

A few simple steps can make a big difference:
🐾 Keep up with monthly flea prevention.
🛁 Bathe with a veterinarian-recommended shampoo when appropriate.
👂 Clean ears regularly, especially for pets prone to ear infections.
🌿 Watch for signs of excessive scratching, licking, chewing, or redness.

If your pet is still itchy despite your best efforts, don't worry—we have options! From allergy medications like Numelvi, Cytopoint, and Apoquel to personalized treatment plans, we're here to help find the right solution for your pet.
