We love seeing our dogs get a chance to shine outside the kennel! ❤️

A huge thank you to Tuff Mutter Run Club for spending time with Roxy and giving her the opportunity to try the slatmill. They provide such a great outlet for dogs to burn energy, build confidence, and get some much-needed physical and mental enrichment. Roxy absolutely loved it!

If you have an active pup who could use a fun new outlet, be sure to check out Tuff Mutter Run Club and what they have to offer! 🐾

And of course, our girl Roxy is still looking for her forever home. Give their post a read, check her out in action, and help us share her story! ❤️

🌎 It’s World Rabies Day!

Rabies facts that might actually surprise you:

🦇 Bats are the big one in Illinois. Rabid bats can be found anywhere in the state — although most bats do not have rabies.

🗑️ Opossums get blamed for a lot. Rabies usually isn’t one of them. They can get it, but cases are extremely rare.

🐕 Here’s the wild part: worldwide, dogs are responsible for about 99% of human rabies cases.

💉 And the part we can control: vaccination works. Keeping pets current on their rabies vaccine helps protect pets, people and our community.

So enjoy the wildlife from a distance, keep those rabies vaccines current, and please don’t pick up the bat. 😬

Happy World Rabies Day from Woodford County Animal Control! 🐾

Buster!
We have tried and tried to find this little guys owner, but to nonprevail unfortunately. So he is now one of our adoptable dogs.
Do you have a place in your home for this old man?? He is as sweet as can be!

Fred & Millie came to us together as siblings, and now we get to celebrate both of them finding families of their own. 🥹🐾

They may be heading to different homes, but we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter ending for this brother-and-sister duo. Two families, two new beginnings, and two very loved pups. 💙🩷

Happy adoption, Fred & Millie! We’re going to miss those sweet faces, but we’re so happy to watch them start their next chapters. 🏡❤️

A huge thank you to Little & Lou Mobile Pet Spa for giving Arlo the full spa treatment today! 🐾💙

Not only did they get this handsome boy cleaned up, brushed out and feeling his best, they also took the time to share him and help spread the word that Arlo is still looking for his forever home!

We’re incredibly grateful for local businesses that are willing to support the dogs in our care and help them put their best paw forward while they wait for their families.

And apparently Arlo decided a spa day was the perfect time for a nap. 😂💙 Thank you for taking such great care of our boy!

Thank you so much to Tuff Mutter Run Club for this wonderful spotlight on Malachi! 💙🐾

We’re incredibly thankful for what you do—giving dogs an opportunity to get out, burn off some energy on the slatmill, have a new experience, and get some extra attention along the way. And continuing to share our dogs afterward helps get their faces in front of even more potential families.

Support like this means so much to us and to the dogs in our care. Thank you for supporting Malachi and helping him get seen. We can’t wait to meet up again! 💙🐾
