I'm Sealy, a striking 2-year-old with a heart full of adventure! I have been a resident of the shelter for over 180 days and would love a home to call my own. Could you please share my post to help me get adopted? At 56 pounds, I'm a solid guy who knows basic commands and loves burning energy with runs and epic zoomie sessions. I'm food-motivated and loyal, though I do take a little time to warm up to new friends — but once I'm yours, I'm all in. Meet me 7 days a week from 12- 5 p.m. at the Adoption Center, 6486 Hwy 62 W, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. 479-253-9188.

Meet Bean.

When Bean came to us, she weighed 1.4 pounds, about a quarter size of her siblings. She was covered in lesions, had lost much of her hair, and was anemic, dehydrated, and congested. She was a very sick little puppy who needed help right away.

One month later, Bean weighs 9 pounds. Her hair has grown back, her lesions have healed, and she's an active, spunky puppy who is ready for her next chapter.

Bean's turnaround happened because she got what she needed: veterinary care, fluids, nutrition, and people who showed up for her every day. That's what your donations make possible. They pay for the exams, medications, food, and round-the-clock care that turn a case like Bean's into a success story.

Every animal who comes through our doors has a story, and many of them start out like Bean's. When you give, you're the reason the "after" photo exists.

If you'd like to help the next animal to come into our care, make a donation today at https://go.levitate.ai/?s=ea2dbQCr9F&source=donationSurvey

PS - Bean is available for adoption!

We are open today, but road work on Highway 62 makes it difficult to get in and out of our driveway.
We recommend visiting us tomorrow for our pet pantry or adoption inquiries to avoid any traffic jams. Thank you!

As the season shifts, our shelves could use a boost. Fill a Bowl This Fall is our seasonal spin on the pet food drive: any business, school, or community group can host one, and Good Shepherd handles the bin, signage, and promotional materials.

It's a simple way to help stock the shelter through the colder months ahead. Get started at goodshepherd-hs.org/host-a-pet-food-drive.

Hey there — I'm Lance Barkstrong, a 2-year-old male with a solid build and a heart of gold! I have been here at the shelter for over 175 days and would love a home where I can be myself. Could you please share my post to help me get adopted? I'm a loyal companion who takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once you're part of my pack, I'm all in. If you've got the patience to let me settle in and show you what I'm made of, I promise you won't regret it — come meet me today! Meet me 7 days a week from 12-5pm at the Adoption Center, 6486 Hwy 62 W, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. 479-253-9188.

Thank you, Carroll County Community Foundation! 💙🐾

We’re deeply grateful to the Carroll County Community Foundation for another year of support through a significant grant from the Ken & Bobby Bates Spay Fund.

This year, Good Shepherd’s programs will provide more than 3,000 affordable spay and neuter surgeries to families in Carroll and surrounding counties. Every one of those surgeries means fewer unplanned litters, fewer animals entering shelters, and more pets staying healthy in the homes that love them.

The Bates Fund has been a steady foundation under this work. Its consistent support has allowed us to grow our spay and neuter program far beyond what its founders could have imagined, and we hope Ken and Bobby would be proud of how far their vision has come.

To the Foundation’s board and staff: thank you for investing in a more humane future for our community, one surgery at a time.

Need a puppy in your life?

Bean, aka Beanie Baby, is a 2 month old mixed breed (possibly Rottweiler) puppy. She currently weighs seven pounds, up from the one pound she weighed when she came in to the shelter.

Bean is a spunky little puppy. She loves to play tug of war and give kisses and always has energy to play!

Bean is eligible for our Foster to Adopt program, allowing you to place an Adoption Hold and take her home while she waits for her spay surgery in November. All of October is name-your-price adoption fees - from $0 to $1,000! Come by any day of the week from 12-5 to meet our favorite little Beanie Baby!
